Black and white carry throughout this crisp powder room: black and white marble floor tiles, black and white graphic wallpaper, and a black and white double wall sconce. Elegant white bathroom fixtures, including the pedestal sink, and a long narrow silver framed rectangular mirror bring additional brightness to this small powder room. WKD’s experience in historic preservation and antique curation restored this gentleman’s farm into a casual, comfortable, livable home for the next chapter in this couple’s lives. The project included a new family entrance and mud room, new powder room, and opening up some of the rooms for better circulation. While WKD curated the client’s existing collection of art and antiques, refurbishing where necessary, new furnishings were also added to give the home a new lease on life. Working with older homes, and historic homes, is one of Wilson Kelsey Design’s specialties. This project was featured on the cover of Design New England's September/October 2013 issue. This small powder room features marble tile and marble mosaics. Hand carved and custom made mirror is complemented by the elegant and luxurious light fixture. A dramatic powder room, with vintage teal walls and classic black and white city design Palazzo wallpaper, evokes a sense of playfulness and old-world charm. From the classic Edwardian-style brushed gold console sink and marble countertops to the polished brass frameless pivot mirror and whimsical art, this remodeled powder bathroom is a delightful retreat.

This jewel of a powder room started with our homeowner's obsession with William Morris "Strawberry Thief" wallpaper. After assessing the Feng Shui, we discovered that this bathroom was in her Wealth area. So, we really went to town! Glam, luxury, and extravagance were the watchwords. We added her grandmother's antique mirror, brass fixtures, a brick floor, and voila! A small but mighty powder room.

his timeless home was built in 1909 in Seattle’s Capitol Hill historic district. The house features gorgeous architectural details from the turn of the century including sculpted moldings, custom wood cutouts, and hand-made tiles. The kitchen was previously remodeled in a style that departed from the home’s historic period. Each room was thoughtfully curated to ensure aesthetic beauty inspired by the home’s original style. We renovated the kitchen, powder room, and restored the butler’s pantry with period details. Generous casement windows were added in the kitchen that flood the room with sunlight. The kitchen design needed to be functional for a family of eight, so we paid great attention to appliance placement, storage, and flow. The furniture and light fixtures selected throughout the home are simple and elegant, allowing the detailed architectural features to shine.
