First home, savvy art owners, decided to hire RBD to design their recently purchased two story, four bedroom, midcentury Diamond Heights home to merge their new parenthood and love for entertaining lifestyles. Hired two months prior to the arrival of their baby boy, RBD was successful in installing the nursery just in time. The home required little architectural spatial reconfiguration given the previous owner was an architect, allowing RBD to focus mainly on furniture, fixtures and accessories while updating only a few finishes. New paint grade paneling added a needed midcentury texture to the entry, while an existing site for sore eyes radiator, received a new walnut cover creating a built-in mid-century custom headboard for the guest room, perfect for large art and plant decoration. RBD successfully paired furniture and art selections to connect the existing material finishes by keeping fabrics neutral and complimentary to the existing finishes. The backyard, an SF rare oasis, showcases a hanging chair and custom outdoor floor cushions for easy lounging, while a stylish midcentury heated bench allows easy outdoor entertaining in the SF climate. What is not to love about this kitchen?? Simple, full of charm, efficient layout..... and the perfect paint colors selected by ColorMoxie NW. Selecting white is much more complex than one might guess. The wrong white wall and cabinetry color could have forever looked "off" with the quartz counters and white subway tile. And that blue?? Swoon worthy Baltic Sea by Benjamin Moore. Hard to see in the photo, but there's a smidge of the same blue in the Marmoleum swirls (color: Sunny Day).

Finished. The walls are painted in On The Rocks by Sherwin Williams. Fireplace was painted with a custom tint of On The Rocks at 200%.

Two Binary pendants in Amber glass hang above the island in this crisp, white kitchen. The honey-colored hue of our signature Amber glass complements the warm tones featured throughout the interior, particularly the custom black walnut cabinetry and wood flooring. Based on the orb glass shape, the Binary modern pendant light uses two incandescent bulbs, adding the perfect amount of accent lighting to this neutral atmosphere.
