“Mike worked with us to refinish our downstairs floors. We decided to replace some tile and carpet with hardwood in several rooms. Mike was incredibly professional, patient and calm in helping us understand the process and make decisions. Mike went out of his way to show us many color combinations so we would be comfortable with our final decision. Mike was available to respond to many inquiries throughout each step. He is very kind, personable and his employees did excellent and fast work. We found his rates were very reasonable. We highly recommend Floors by VAL and hope to work with Mike again in the future!”

“There are flooring contractors and then there is Eric Herman at State of the Art Flooring. I’m pleased to say that Eric is a cut above all the other contractors out there. My situation involved a failed refinishing of a floor as a result of having a difficult wood to stain (Beech). To determine how best to fix the problem I interviewed 5 different contractors and only Eric promised that he could solve it. But more importantly, only Eric was willing to make the effort to understand what had gone wrong previously and then invest the time experimenting with different solutions. He did not less than 20 samples in his laboratory and 8 samples on sight. When one approach wasn’t working, he switched gears and spent several hours on the phone with the manufacturer of a product that ultimately worked. Eric might cost more than other contractors, but he is worth every penny! I wholeheartedly recommend him and his firm.”

“We couldn't be happier with our new hardwood floors. They look absolutely beautiful. Paul showed us various options and we got exactly what we wanted. The entire process from beginning to end went very well. Paul and his installers were very professional and really did an excellent job. The job was completed quickly and of the highest quality. We would recommend them to everyone and plan on using them again in the future.”

“I initially met Alex and Russ when they were recommend to me by an architect. I initially hired them to fix the floors in my house which were done incorrectly by the first contractor. They did a wonderful job and were very reliable. Their pricing is fair and they offer all sorts of specialty flooring options and finishes. I am the principal of K.A. Murphy Interiors, LLC an interior design firm and I use them on my projects as well. They are an extremely professional company, they go out of their way to help you and accommodate you because in the end they really care about their clients' happiness. I would recommend them without hesitation.”

“I moved into a co-op and didn't realize how much of a hassle it is to get ANYTHING done. But Freddy of NOVART was a huge help! After we agreed on what I wanted renovated in the apartment (fully renovate the kitchen and bathroom), he took over, gave me suggestions and made sure everything was up to the standard requested by the co-op management. He even was patient enough to work with the electrician and plumber that the co-op management made me hire since it was who "they" trusted.. he had to teach them what to do... The work was done quickly and professionally and even when I changed my mind during renovation, he never hesitated to work with me and gave me feedback on what we should and shouldn't do. The work was finished quickly even in the midst of the pandemic and overall I am very satisfied with the work done. No complaints and even though he offered that he'd come and fix anything that I'm not satisfied with, I haven't had the need to call him since everything was done well.”
