- diese ersten Worte der Bauherren zu ihrem Wohnwunsch wurden zu unserem Entwurfsthema:
Nicht die äußerliche Repräsentation, sondern die nutzbaren Werte für
die Bewohner bestimmen die Entwurfsentscheidungen.
Der winkelförmige Baukörper definiert Aussenräume verschiedener Qualitäten:
Den unantastbaren Raum mit seiner ruhigen Kiesfläche; den Sonnen- und Spielgarten mit der weiten, aber gefassten Grünfläche und den Wirtschaftshof, belebt vom Lichtspiel des Blattwerks der hohen Bestandsbäume.
Das Erdgeschoss ist großflächig verglast und so fließt zu ebener Erde der Aussenraum durch den Innenraum.
Das Obergeschoss hingegen gibt sich dreiseitig weitestgehend geschlossen und bietet die Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Nur zur Südsonne öffnen sich die Räume zu dem sich über die gesamte Länge erstreckenden Balkon.
Das gewölbte Dach leitet das Licht tief in die Räume und über verglaste Oberlichter in den verbindenden Flur. Zusammen mit den das Licht filternden Sonnenschutzlamellen verleiht die Dachform dem Haus ein südländisches Ambiente - ebenfalls ein Bauherrenwunsch.
nach Norden schließt sich das Gebäude zur Nachbarschaft, gerichtete Leibungen leiten die Ausblicke.
Ein fein abgestimmter Farb- und Materialkanon der Oberflächen und Einbaumöbel im Inneren, sowie die sorgfältige Durcharbeitung mit "verdeckten" Details runden den Eindruck ab.
ein Refugium - "...von innen nach außen...".

The fabulous Monterey Cypress, Macrocarpa wood which we sourced through our specialist wood supplier allowed us to create this fabulous 8ft x 3ft Dining Table with Brushed Stainless Steel Legs. The Dining Chairs were made and covered for us in a beautiful soft grey fabric by our furniture designers. Accenting walls were painted in the lovely new Farrow & Ball colour 'Moles Breath' and Felt shades in a lovely 'Oatmeal' colour with cotton diffusers were hung on brushed Nickel Pendant Lights. A lovely Dining area in the beautiful Open Plan Living Space for our happy Clients to entertain in and enjoy.

Ancient SurfacesBordered by a stone wall gate, Villa Marianne is surrounded by a sprawling garden strewn with fruit orchards, cypress trees and weeping willows.
Light and airy, the Provençal farmhouse has a blush façade, light blue shutters and a wisteria-covered pergola for al fresco dining. To the left is a stylish swimming pool attached to its own pool house. The grounds are pristine, perfect for a game of boules under the shade of the trees.

The ancient Dalle de Bourgogne stone pavers have been reclaimed from different locations across the Mediterranean making them unique in their warm color mixtures and patinas and their exquisite beauty.
They have been calibrated to 5/8” in thickness to ease installation of modern use. They come in random sizes and could be installed in either a running bond formation or a random ‘Versailles’ pattern.
Their durable nature makes them an excellent choice for indoor and outdoor use. They are unaffected by extreme climate and easily withstand heavy use due to the nature of their hard molecular structure.

Fiona Bateman InteriorsOur client wanted us to create a cosy and atmospheric dining experience, so we embraced the north facing room and painted it top to bottom in a deep, warm brown from Little Greene. To help lift the room and create a conversation starter, we chose a sketched cloud wallpaper for the ceiling.
Full length curtains, recessed into the ceiling help to make the room feel bigger and are up-lit by ground lights that emphasise the folds in the fabric.
The sculptural dining table from Emmemobili takes centre stage and is surrounded by comfortable upholstered dining chairs. We chose two fabrics for the dining chairs to add interest. The ochre velvet pairs beautifully with the yellow glass Porta Romana lamps and brushed brass over-sized round mirror.
