“We hired MegaPros to complete our guest bathroom. The challenging part was to extend it to allow for a large vanity, we had some dinky little vanity that could maybe house a hair dryer. The extended the bathroom about three feet moved our master bedroom wall, added a closet at the end of our hall way with beautiful french doors. This project could have been a nightmare. There design team had common sense, when it came to layout and practicality. It took them 3 weeks start to finish and they kept to there schedule and original contract price. All the MegaPros were great once we save enough money we will definitely welcome them back into our home.”

“When we decided to replace our roof, add a room and renovate our kitchen, we knew we needed to rely on a reliable, respected and competent firm. That is why we chose Scherrer Construction. Both of us have had positive experiences with Scherrer Construction during our working careers so selecting Scherrer Construction for our home renovation was an easy decision. “We were very pleased with Jeff Cohen and his team from start to finish. He came in as one of the lowest bids, but we feel there was no compromise on quality. Most important to us was how easy Jeff was to deal with--he was honest, straight-forward, attentive, and very respectful of the condo rules and our neighbors. He was very knowledgeable and worked well with our architect, and on occasion made great suggestions for improvement or cost savings. The work progressed well on an appropriate schedule, and they were able to work around our needs while living on site. “Due to a massive windstorm, we had shingles that had blown off the roof. It was an emergency and we needed someone to come out the same day. Above Par Construction was out within 2 hours of my call to them. John was very courteous, personable, professional and thorough. Carrie who took my phone call was very helpful and understanding. The end result is a repair that is seamless and unnoticeable as the new shingles match perfectly with the old shingles. Highly recommend!!!!”

“Bob Florina is our guy for all our remodeling. We have contracted him numerous times throughout the years. Because he is fabulous, I decided I needed to others know about him. In our first house, he updated our master bathroom and hall bathroom, as well as repaired our roof in our family room. In the process of doing our master bathroom, we got to know him well and trusted his judgment and integrity. As such, when he did our family room and hall bath, we went out of town. What a wonderful treat to come back to these "new" rooms! He didn't leave a mess, he cleaned it all up so that we could really have a great surprise. He's also painted our bathrooms, kitchen, and family room. Before we found Bob, we've had others do some work, including painting. What a difference between their work, and Bob's! We can tell immediately which rooms were done by Bob, and which ones were done by other contractors who came recommended, but just didn't measure up to my standards (which are, admittedly, high). We recently moved into an old house that needed extensive remodeling. The master bedroom was in need of a master bathroom. Bob turned the closet into a beautiful master bathroom, which is by far my favorite room in the whole house. He completely gutted the closet, reframed it, and created a gorgeous master bathroom. He also updated all the trim on the upper level of the home, connected us with a floor guy to refinish the hardwood floors on the upper level, and he updated the hall bathroom. The floor guy also redid our stairs, and Bob painted the risers, providing a compromise of what I wanted (dark) and what my husband wanted (light). Our basement was in need of remodeling, too, but we were trying to prioritize the bathrooms and make do with the basement. Bob had great ideas on how to fix the basement to turn it into a play area for the kids, but keep the cost low. He pulled the carpet, changed the trim, and connected us with a concrete floor guy who prep'd the floor so Bob could paint it. The result was amazing - and the kids love it! Painting the concrete was meant to be a temporary fix, but now we're considering just keeping it since it looks so great and is so functional. He also removed old cabinets in the utility room in the basement, pulled the old tile, and feather-finished the floor in prep for tiling at a later date. Again, making it functional for now while we save up to tile later. Bob has high standards, and his work is testament to that. I watched him paint and saw the precision with which he does it - he really takes great care in making it perfect. In addition, Bob has built connections with other contractors who do specialized work, such as hard wood floors. Because Bob has high standards, he only uses people that share in his strong work ethic. We have been extremely happy with the electrician, plumber, painter, and floor guy from Bob's circle of professionals. What makes Bob stand out is that he will not be happy unless the project is done to his customer's satisfaction. Previous contractors we've had have left something minor undone, and then it was hard to get them to come back to finish it. It was as if those small, remaining things were neglected for the next big project on their agenda, and we were moved off their priority list. Bob, on the other hand, works long hours with commitment and grace, always with a positive attitude, and with determination to meet your needs. He's an all-round great guy that we trust 100%. We are planning more remodeling, and I feel extremely fortunate that we have Bob whom we know will treat our project with as much eagerness and excitement as us! I post some pictures of the project as it was happening, but I will take more updated pictures after we're all moved in and settled. I'll start a photo book on houzz and put them in there.”

“Service Construction (Paul Saydak) remodeled our condominium from May to Nov. 2018. He was prompt with estimates of completion and costs and returned to fix lingering smaller issues quickly and without additional charges .There were no significant problems upon completion of the job. Paul has a lot of skills--I recommend him without rerservatioin.”
