“We have been living in our Northcape built house for over 2 years now,and couldn't be happier. The process of designing and building the house was delightful, the finished product our dream come true. Designer/decorator Pat Westgate was so easy to work with, accompanying me to granite, tile, appliance and plumbing showrooms, all of which were totally overwhelming. She gently guided me to the best choices, gave her opinions when asked, whittled choices down when there were too many, etc. She was also a great resource when choosing lighting, always difficult for us since my husband and I have different tastes in that regard. She and Project Manager Jim Goin suggested some design changes that we are very happy with. Friends comment on how "solid" the house is--so well insulated from outside noise. It's an exceptionally well built house, with great attention to detail.”

“I met Chris when I was hired to build a custom shower he and his wife had designed. Walking into the near complete renovation project is was obvious Chris had great attention to detail. The tile I installed highlighted other colors in the master suite.... All the trims were fluent throughout the house, color schemes all seemed to work well together. All the hardware used in the kitchen, bathrooms, foyer to even the shower and lighting fixtures complimented each other nicely I thought. I have since done a few more projects with Ambrose Custom Builders and thoroughly enjoy the unique ideas Chris and his team come up with.”

“The Davis Frame Company hosted a visit to Claremont, NH, where my wife and I stayed in their model home, toured their production facility, and were made to feel at home. In the design phase they were very responsive - they modified a stock design to suit our needs. During design and construction they were very available to our architect and subs. I was on the phone frequently with questions and problems - the hand-holding was extraordinary. The business side was clear and straightforward. All targets were met. There was no quibbling. Our house is complete and it is a stunner! The Davis frame is a house....and it's a work of art. If there were 7 stars I'd give them seven.”

“Joel did a complete renovation on my main bathroom, stripping it down to the bare bones, including removing walls, and then building it up again. My house is 260 years old and I was very concerned about it fitting in with the rest of the house. Joel did a fabulous job, including refinishing the original pin floor and pine vanity, building a laundry closet and a beautiful corner cabinet for sheets and towels. He did complex tile work and installed all new lighting as well as a new clawfoot tub, toilet and marble top for the vanity. He even helped me pick out new colors for the walls. I highly recommend Joel for all your remodling needs.”

The impressive thing has been the way that Unity has responded to them. They have been creative and done whatever it takes to resolve any issue that has come up - even sending out their own staff to take care of problems caused by our contractor (at no charge to us). “Professional, knowledgeable and flexible. Theirs is a truly inspired mission to create the home and space you want, all with a barn-like feel. The quality in their work is second to none. They do things right the first time and recognize immediately when something needs to be changed before it's "too late." With each day that passed, more and more work was done late in to the night in order to meet our deadline. We were floored by their ability to come through for us when 'big ideas' came up and changed the original game plan. On top of everything else, they persisted through some of the worst weather that New England can offer, which was a feat in it of itself after so many months spend working on the exterior.”
