Chris and Agata have a quality-focused approach, helping us choose elements that gave the build a touch of luxury without sacrificing the budget. And their dedication to sticking to the budget is awesome - it's so easy to go over budget with the many small choices that ultimately add up to a blowout - but our build remained almost exactly to what the original building budget was forecast to be. “Matt Richardson provided an extremely professional service from start to finish for a large internal refurbishment of an apartment block with 21 units. Matt conducted a tender for us to make sure that the Owners Corporation Committee could choose the highest quality tradesmen at the most competitive price. He managed all activities including patching and repairing of all walls and ceilings, repairing fire retardant, consultation with paint colour specialists and subsequent painting of all internal walls, ceilings and balustrades, installation of new light fittings and other activities. In addition to managing the work of the tradesmen involved, he managed communications with owners, tenants, real estate agents, the Body Corporate, and other parties. The end product was fantastic and we were delighted with the result. Matt's rates were very reasonable and represented great value for money.”

“We hired Xavier as builder and project manager for our complex bathroom renovation (removing two structural walls). After obtaining numerous quotes, we were thrilled to meet Xavier who was the only builder who wanted to do everything properly (i.e. have a building contract, permit, architectural drawings, structural certifications and not just a 'cash' job). In addition, he was reasonably priced and committed to completing the project within our modest budget. We knew living in our house with two young children during the reno would be testing, however, Xavier made the whole process a dream. He ensured the site was safe for our little ones, minimised dust and noise and always cleaned up after each day. HIs communication was exceptional, he consulted us on each decision and made sure we were happy with the work completed (and had it fixed if there were any issues). It might seem like a trivial point, but communication was key (especially if you are a perfectionist), and Xavier excelled at this. I would definitely recommend Xavier and Maxabuild for any building work in Melbourne. He brought our project in on time (in just four weeks), on budget and to an exceptionally high standard of workmanship. To top it off he was just brilliant to work with. He is a rare gem in the buiding industry!”
