“I found Klaus Thorsen through various local web sites with high recommendation. I needed some special shelving units and cupboards to be built in my study. The space was complex due to it being in a loft extension and my requirements were very specific. Klaus took my very rough drawings and measured up perfectly to adapt this to the actual space. The quality of his work was perfect and I am delighted with the result. As important was his attitude, which including being punctual almost to the second, being excellent to work with, ensuring not a speck of dust remained after he had finished and keeping perfectly to schedule. Indeed the only problem is that Klaus is booked up for several months in advance!! I would HIGHLY recommend him”

“Tristan built a mirrored cupboard in our small bathroom under the stairs to cover plumbing and gas lines. He did an excellent, creative job because this is a very small, awkward space. He made it so that we can detach the mirrored doors for utility access. He also built some shelves in our kitchen closet. Everything was finished to a very high standard! I would highly recommend Tristan and will gladly use him for any future projects.”

“Martin was recommended to us after our relatively small but highly bespoke projects were turned down by several large companies. Looking back, we’re very glad they did, as we are absolutely delighted with the work Martin did for us. Martin took the time to discuss with us what we were trying to achieve, understand how we wanted the end result to fit within our interior and came up with great design ideas. His craftsmanship is really excellent and you can definitely see the quality of his work in the various pieces he produced for us. Further, he is very responsive to emails and sticks to deadlines (or will let you know in advance if something takes longer than expected). Even better, the rooms he was working in were clean at the end of each day when he was on site. Overall, we can only give high praise to Martin for his work. We have recommended him to our friends and neighbours, who have all been equally pleased with his work.”

“We hired K P Coppin Carpentry to undertake a few different jobs in our Victorian terrace house. We wanted floating shelves fitted into two alcoves in the living room; a new pair of doors added to floor to ceiling cupboards that are under the stairs; some restoration work on the stair case where previous owners had sawn off every stair edge in order to box in the staircase and we needed a bedroom door reversed so it opened in the opposite direction to gain a bit more room. So quite a varied range of work. We are delighted with both the finish of the job and the process, Ken initially visited and thoroughly went through our requirements so all parties were fully aware of what would be required and how it would happen. As much work as possible was then completed off site which kept disruption at the house to a minimum. We have a few more jobs that will need doing in the future and Ken will be our first call when it is time to have them done.”

“As well as general building work I have had a kitchen and library hand made by Concept-Linea. Their workmanship is top class, you could not get better joinery, and their attention to detail second to none. Both projects have also stood the test of time as stand upto robust use. The library is made of bamboo-ply and the result is beautiful and very hard-wearing. They are a very professional outfit who are a pleasure to deal with. I recommend them to anyone looking for something special and standout.”

“Bespoke panelled wardrobes (contemporary) for an awkward space with sloping ceilings. Excellent joinery: only reason for removing one star is the fact that the undercoat/primer was applied roughly and needed refinishing. If we had used a decorator for the finish I would have awarded 5 stars.”
