“If you've been on Susan's website and seen the magnificent fireplace, ( I'm a little prejudice), it is mine. Our house was built in 1923 and had an old brick fireplace that did nothing for the updated living room. Susan suggested a combination of metallic look tiles and Cherry wood. we sent her the dimensions and she returned a design concept for the fireplace, mantle and suggestions for the hearth, all of which we executed to create the look you see. I have never done any tile work like this so she provided all the advice I needed including specific grout, installation instructions and even final polishing techniques. As we live in NY we bought all the suggested installation products locally and had the tiles shipped. Everything we needed came as promised and even with a few extra pieces, just in case. I would never have undertaken a job like this without her help and confident design expertise. You see a fan shaped piece in the middle of the fireplace. That was created from one of her glass fans...they are beautiful. I purchased one of the glass pieces as well and it sits on a table I made just to display it. Creates a wonderful balance of design in the large room. We get comments on the glass fan all the time and everyone who has stepped into our living room just has to go over and touch the fireplace...it just draws that attention. I would use Susan again given the need and have recommended her to friends. Great experience.”

“We are in the process of having a countertop makeover in our kitchen. My wife and I visited Quarzo to look at the many different choices of stone slabs at there site. We were greeted by Abril who showed us the styles of tile they had. She was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us to get an idea of what we were looking for. She sent us home with different samples to see how they matched with our cabinets and floor. I am proud to say we have purchased polished white granite for our kitchen. We are in the process of purchasing a cast iron sink, faucet and garbage disposal. We have not set a date yet for this kitchen install. We are excited to get our new makeover. “I recently remodeled two bathrooms and Marblus Granite built the beautiful custom cabinets (2 very large vanities as well as a 8'x 10' cabinet/chest. They also installed beautiful marble vanities tops. Marblus/Lucia were great to work with....extremely professional and, most importantly, kept all their commitments (time, price, schedule). The craftsmanship and quality of work is extremely high, the service level exemplary, and the costs competitive. I can't recommend them highly enough.”

“I contracted with A Touch of Stone to install new granite counter tops in my kitchen and Quartz countertops in two bathrooms. Every person I came in contact with from this company was very nice and incredibly professional. They were genuinely concerned with making sure we were going to be happy with our countertops and would ask us questions about things we didn't think to check. After we had the kitchen counters installed, we realized we'd forgotten to request a hole for the dishwasher air gap. The owner stopped at our house on his way home one night and made the extra hole without charge. Awesome, awesome customer service!! I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or refer them to others.”

“Excellent experience, from pre-sale to installation. Of all the firms I requested bids from, Nicole (sales at Marble City Co.) was the most efficient, most patient, most responsive sales person. She turned around bids on 6 different countertop types the same day, followed up with nice, unobtrusive emails, and was clearer on the timing of installation (which was sooner) than 2 competitors. Even the MCC price came in less (for the exact same Cambria countertop and dimensions) than Granite Expo, the cheapo place with terrible service that people seem to think they'll find a bargain. When my huge island (108x38) nearly pushed us into a second slab, the design staff worked hard to offer some options, so we altered a couple measurements and--thankfully--kept the design to a single slab. MCC was also on the phone with me numerous times to address last-minute design questions I had about the changes. Their install guys were super nice, efficient and incredibly strong; they hauled both Cambria countertops up my building's exterior stairwell in one go, no sweat. The installation team was careful with cleaning and polishing after the set and glue, and respectful of the items in the home. Just a great experience overall, and I love the Cambria design (Aberdeen) because very few people or companies have chosen it. I'd certainly only use MCC in the future for any countertop needs. I'd highly recommend Marble City Co over any regional competitor (because I got bids from over half a dozen of them) if you're in the Northern California area.”

The showroom and warehouse have an amazing stock of samples and the professional staff has books, boards and iPads available for design concepts. These folks really know their stuff and are happy to answer nearly unlimited questions about style, color, durability, function, difference between A marble and B marble, etc. After searching through a myriad of tile and marble shops, I finally found Da Vinci and now use them exclusively for such services.”
