“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“I hired Chad at Surrounds, because I was looking for someone who could transform our backyard into another area for entertaining. We trusted him. He worked closely with us to present and modify the designs. He let us know when things would not work. We wanted a football field for the kids, as well as covered porch for the back and stone patio /fireplace or the fall. The landscaping was to tastefully hide our close neighbors and provide a southern style charm with year round color and lots of green texture. It is gorgeous on all counts. They flattened the yard and stonework is perfect. We love it.”

“Water's Edge: I gave West Winds a free hand to both design and execute a complete hardscape and landscape plan. This included four patios, two artistic staircases( all of Tennessee Crab Orchard stone to match the house) plus landscaping of the entire front and back of house for a total of two acres( including 12 planting beds)and numerous trees, bushes and a huge variety of thoughtful flowering plants and grasses that give us year round color. West Winds complied with numerous restrictions due to the Chesapeake Bay Act and was able to mesh the complexity of the regulations with an artistic flair. I heartily recommend Philip Klene to honestly, quickly and beautifully execute your exterior project.”

“Jeff has done two jobs for me and they have been excellent! On the first one - backyard patio with a boulder/rock wall - he adapted without pause when I wanted a change to one of the elements. The front yard was done with an entire tractor-trailer of PA stone and turned out to be amazing. Priced reasonably with other estimates I got for the same work.”

“We are thrilled with our landscaping as designed and provided by Eden Design Group. We also like their workers whom we see season after season and are accommodating, pleasant and professional. We especially like the compliments about our landscaping we receive from friends and visitors. We also use them in an annual retainer as they provide all seasonal work. We just have to look at our yards and do not a thing ourselves.”
