“The front hard of my Minneapolis home needed help - it had been ripped up by the previous owners to work on the water lines and was nothing but rock. The walkway from the sidewalk was crumbling, and there was no definition of the space from the sidewalk up to the house. Jeff was recommended to me by a friend, and I asked him to provide an estimate on a design including a short brick wall along the sidewalk, re-grading of the yard, a new curved brick walkway, and a few shrubs. He came back with a beautiful design and a reasonable estimate. I also spoke with a large landscaping company, but their estimate was twice the one I got from Jeff. There were some delays in getting the project started, but once he did, the work went quickly. And I am incredibly impressed with the results. Its's beautiful! My front yard is transformed and fits in well with the established neighborhood. The whole project was under $10k. I could not be more pleased and I highly recommend Jeff to anyone looking for high quality work at a reasonable cost.”

“Phillips Garden did a full backyard remodel in summer 2015 - turned our crappy amateur patio, hafl-century-old cement walkway, and weed-infested lump green space into a beautiful bluestone garden paradise. They were very patient with our changing desires & budget, and were extremely thorough and diligent getting the project done (early!). The designers came up with a wonderful creative "circle" design to leverage our topography, and the garden folks planted 600 (!) perennials in beautiful ways that enhanced our vision. Their build & maintenance staff are all pros - it was a wonderful project, and we still use them on an annual basis.”

“We loved working with Justin and his team at Anderson Bros Outdoors! They listened to exactly what we wanted, and they delivered it perfectly. We were really impressed that they were able to find and source a few unique items, including a metal pergola and stone fireplace, that fit our vision and budget. The team was really hard-working and respectful as they demoed and installed in our backyard. Now we have a beautiful outdoor space to spend time in, and we absolutely love it. “We hired LandCraft for a large project that included relocating our sidewalk, a new paver patio, drain tile, a rain garden, grading and new sod. Jack came up with a very creative design for our winding path, back patio, and rain garden that made great use of the space of our odd wedge shaped lot. Overall during the project the communication wasn’t great. Landcraft made sure to follow through with any issues we had to make sure our new yard project would be a joy for us.”

“Nathan and Josh helped us make the most creative and beautiful landscape using boulders to retain our hillside, trees, grasses and flowers. They were able to imagine and execute a difficult high retaining wall and steep steps. Their whole plan was never compromised because it was too much work or too difficult. Josh created a beautiful railing that just completes it all. Every day, all summer neighbors would stop and say that they loved it.”

“We used Hillside Design for a major project involving both the front and back landscaping of our home in the spring of 2016. Nick (owner) and his crew were very professional, pleasant, and easy to work with. Additionally we found Nick to be an honest man with integrity who takes pride in his work. Our project involved two paver patios, a small sitting wall, major plantings, installing an arbor, grill station, bubbler rock, and landscaping lighting. The quality of his team's work on our project was very good and we are happy with the final outcome of our project. Overall, Hillside's work on the front and rear landscaping have transformed our home and we love it. Finally, once your project is done, you still will hear from Nick. The following spring after our project Nick called to check in on how the project fared through the winter and came out to correct a couple of minor issues to our satisfaction. I would strongly recommend getting a bid from Nick if you are considering a landscape project; I think you'll find his bid competitive and you'll be sold on him.”
