“We hired Willie for a second time because we love his quiet, thoughtful manner of thinking with us about the best solution for our problems. This time, we asked him to replace the sliders on all of our bathroom and kitchen drawers and to re-build the fronts with "better material." Willie, like us, loves our house for its unusual design --- a four-story tree house with a funky mixture of new and old materials. He convinced us that the plywood fronts to the drawers would look great if just sanded and refinished and that they would match the rest of the house. He also removed a half-wall and extended some shelves -- a process that unearthed an uneven floor. Unflappable in the face of difficulty, he did the best job I could imagine with this problem.”

“We have been buying furniture and household accessories from Fairhaven Furniture for nearly thirty years, and most recently as our adult children set up their own homes it is the place where our children most want to shop. The items in our home which we acquired from Elizabeth and Kerry - our cherry dining room table, our down-stuffed curved living room sofas, side tables and bedroom furniture - are the artistic touches we love most in our home. Lao, Colleen and Mark have helped us to purchase beautiful pieces for our offices now too, from stressless chairs to sleek couches (we now own two sizes of "the Michael" sofa). On the rare occasions when we have chosen an item that is too big for the space or just doesn't quite look right the staff has helped us without hesitation, removing the furniture back to the store and helping us to make a better choice. There are times I go down to Blatchley Street with nothing in mind to buy, just for the pleasure of looking around at what's new. It's a visual feast of beautiful wood and vibrant materials. Nothing is mass produced, everything is made with care and invention.”

“I love this store! We moved into a new house and I needed a few pieces to "fill in" the empty spaces. Kim and Eric have a great assortment of different styles of furniture and accent pieces that works even with my eclectic style. They listen to what your "vision" is and work with you to find something that fits with that vision all the while providing you with design considerations. There prices are very reasonable and the quality of the furniture is very good! I have also used them for window treatments as well. Even when I am not shopping for something specific, I do try and drop in every couple of months to see what they have for accessories. You never know what treasure you will find!”

The buyers and owners keep a varied and exciting mix of furniture product shown on the floor, in addition to an extensive library of vendors for high- and middle-end price points. Fabric lines are comprehensive and well-displayed, with a very user-friendly sample system. Their rug, wallpaper, lighting, and artwork offerings are also extensive and well-sampled. “I looked for an ottoman in local furniture stores but couldn't find anything that suited my needs. Finally I found one in "D & More" and for the price I paid for it (250$), you can't beat it! It is made from excellent quality. Lighter than a feather, plus the storage area inside is large enough to store a blanket and throw the ottoman in the living room when it gets chilly. I highly recommend furniture from this company!”
