“We hired Dan and Corey last summer to design plans for landscaping a difficult hillside and our front yard. They selected and installed the plantings and sod and installed cobblestone edging and a paver walkway. We decided to have them do the work in three phases to match our budget. They have completed the installation for two of the three phases, and we are thrilled with the outcome. Their work is top-notch. They have an eye for design and they use top-rated materials. In fact, they turned an eyesore of a rocky, weed-filled hillside into an asset. They know what they're doing, and they do things the right way. They are a small company (just the two guys) so they do the work themselves - which is how we like to do things. We plan to have them do the final phase this summer.”

“Jonathan designed a landscaping plan for our backyard, which had serious grading issues. The plan included regrading and the creation of terraces, the construction of several stone walls, and the planting of shrubs, trees, and some grass. Jonathan is a true believer in creating landscaped spaces which are sensitive to the surrounding environment, using native plants and local (or near-local) stone. He is also a passionate gardener. Jonathan is an absolutely amazing landscape architect! He considered our site carefully and well, and was always great to work with, stopping by daily to check on the work. From the start, he listened to our wants and needs, and gave us several options whenever possible. He subcontracted the construction of our stone walls to a company which did gorgeous work using Goshen stone (a 40-ft curved sitting wall, a patio, and a four-terrace garden). It has been a couple of years since the job was completed, and every single time we have a visitor, the yard receives compliments. Jonathan takes the long view, and so you must have patience and trust that as plantings grow, his vision will reveal itself over time; it will.”

“Elliott created a schematic for my large front yard, which by the way is a piece of art in itself that I will have framed and hung in my home. He did a fabulous job and exceeded our expectations. The way he laid out the plantings, it really framed our yard and made if feel like an oasis of our own. “Dennis did a fantastic job designing and implementing entirely new landscaping for a significant portion of our property. The project included the installation of a long wooden fence providing privacy from a busy through-street, several new granite stairways tying previously separated portions of our property together, a new stone patio, a rock garden, several trees, and multiple other plantings. Throughout the process, Dennis was thoughtful, creative, and patient working with my wife and me (we had never been through a project like this before). He listens well and is able to effectively translate between the vision that we created for our property and the ultimate buildable plan for the contractors implementing our design. As a result, the end product was even better than we had envisioned. I highly recommend Dale Design.”
