“I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

Fast forward to the end of 2023 the garden looks incredibly beautiful which includes a diverse assortment of flowers, plants, and some trees. “Jane provided a complete garden design by post, based on our own measurements and new spaces planned, once a planned house extension is completed. The end deliverable was a surprise so we communicated almost entirely by email, and it was a complete success. Jane is extremely knowledgeable about garden design and was always prompt in responding to questions, queries and general email comms. I thoroughly enjoyed the process! I felt she understood our brief well and went the extra mile in creating a pintrest board of photo ideas to accompany the design, as well as sketched options and a scale plan of the final design. I loved her sketches so much I had to ask her for some colour versions of the final designs as they bring to life her ideas so well, visually. Jane has kept in touch since, and kindly offered her support and advice should any questions come up once we complete our extension and move on to the garden, over the coming months. ““We have worked with George on three projects at our cottage in Worcestershire - design and remodelling of our front garden and driveways, creation of a wildflower meadow and design for our rear garden. Throughout we have been impressed by George’s consultative approach, knowledge and meticulous attention to detail. He listens to our requirements and creates beautiful designs that are both innovative and practical. He is also not afraid to get his hands dirty which is a bonus. The recommendations proved to be correct and Francis produced not only a great plan with exactly what we were looking for but also delivered great knowledge that will save us time and money without cutting corners.
