“Kristen designed a beautiful makeover for our yard - front, back and sides. She asked lots of questions before designing anything - what we wanted (pavers, pretty flowers), what we didn't want (water feature, yellow flowers) and in general, how we wanted to use our yard. She came up with lovely, detailed plans for a traditional looking garden (with our traditional looking house) - that were revised slightly with discussion, then found a couple of contractors to bid on the work. She supervised the work of the one we chose, making sure they followed the plans. She recommended a new gardner - good choice. About a year later she replaced the few plants that hadn't made it (for no charge), and now almost two years later the place is absolutely beautiful! I can't tell you how many complements we have received ever since the job was originally completed - and they continue to this day!”

“I just completed a remodel of my pool and landscaping with the Alder Group, and simply stated I could not be happier. From the first meeting until the project was completed, Don always looked for ways to improve the project and at the same time ways to minimize the cost of the project. His keen eye for design saw needed simple improvements that were relatively inexpensive but had a massive effect on the overall beauty of the project. Perhaps most importantly when the manufacturer delivered the wrong custom coping, and I worried that we would not be able to meet the deadline of a large party that was planned for my backyard; Don found a way to resolve the issue and keep the job on schedule. “Tina Roushall is a top notch landscap designer. She is pleasant, intelligent, creative and responsive. Tina listens to her client's requests, researches plants, materials and ideas, and presents them for client's review in conceptual design options with good cost estimations. For every aspect of the job, Tina has several resources she can recommend for clients to interview. While your project is underway, Tina stays in contact with the client and the contractors, physically checking in. When we felt an installed item didn't represent our idea of what something should look like, Tina was on the phone with the installer and on the job site within the hour, assisting in evaluation and change to our liking. When I came up with a new hard scape idea to add to our project mid install, Tina was on the phone with the contractor arranging solutions to my request. Tina is what one would hope for in a perfect landscape designer relationship. We have recommended her to several of our friends who are using her services as well.”

“Aitken & Associates considered all of the elements we wished to include in the landscape of our home, together with the grading plan of our lot, and came up with a design that could accommodate our wishes. We have been enjoying the result for 10 years now, with my only regret being the things I changed on my own from the written design plan as we were executing, thinking I had just come up with "better" idea. Wrong! They know what they're doing, and you can be sure its been thought all the way through. Everyone in the office was great to work with, returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner, and showing up for scheduled appointments on time. Our design plan was done when they said it would be, and we went straight to the City to get our permits. Which brings up another thing: Aitken & Associates was clearly familiar with our City ordinances because upon review by the City, there was nothing in our landscape design plan that we couldn't get permitted. We were very pleased with Aitken & Associates.”

“David did an exquisite job with my yard: it's an oasis and I spend as much time as I can outside taking it in. it's easy-maintenance, beautiful all seasons, and simply peaceful. The process was painless, and David listened carefully to what I wanted and "got" who I am. Moreover, he was mindful of my budget, and I never felt like I had to give up anything. Over the years I have contacted him with questions, and he has always been generous with his time and ideas. He is knowledgeable, talented, and creative. I LOVE LOVE LOVE his work!”

“Eric and Mae were the commensurate professionals from the begining of design to landscape completion. They had a consistent presence on-site to monitor work crews and hands on particpation to enusre the very best results...always paying great attention to detail. Also,It was very important to us to save and relocate most of the existing plantings to newly created beds. Eric and Mae did a wonderful, conscientious job of accomplishing that. Best of all, we can look out of any window in our house and see beautiful gardens, rustic decking, and majestic Maine-like boulders...just what we wanted.”
