“Dominic Stone of Bottle Kiln Design first provided a garden design and install contract at my previous property Old Engine Farm, Ashover Derbyshire in the early 1980's. I moved to Derry House, Matlock in 1997. I again sought Dominic out to provide a complete garden design and install, first in the late 1990's and again a more recently to refresh the original scheme with new paving to rear areas and to pave the original tarmac drive plus to lay significant surface water drainage channels and pipes. The experience I have of Dominic and his company is beyond excellent in terms of design expertise, product knowledge, installation skill, prompt work scheduling and commitment to his customer. His pricing has always been in my view realistic. In terms of his personal integrity, from the considerable experience I have had over a prolonged period of time it is beyond question, one hundred percent reliable.”

He has helped us immensley in getting our new garden started, designing a fabulous bespoke green house and more recently, designing a perfect site for a North facing shady area which will look wonderful and we will send a photo once it is all planted up. The head gardener at our local Garden Centre was most impressed with Jonathan's design, in fact he gave us a discount!! “We really enjoyed working with Victoria. She helped us redesign our rather tired garden layout and unimaginative plants. After an initial meeting , Victoria produced some really interesting concept designs. Her extensive plant knowledge, ideas and enthusiasm have helped us create an all round garden. It’s a pleasure to look out every day to see what’s new and to observe the seasonal changes. We’ve had lots of very positive comments from friends and passers by. Victoria project managed the transformation and had a good team working alongside her. She is very professional and brought the scheme in on budget and to an agreed timescale. We now have a striking, low maintenance garden full of interesting plants and shrubs. It is maturing well and gives us great pleasure.”

“We were bored with our square garden and had some ideas of how to make it more interesting but we needed someone to put them together in a coherent way. Sue more than lived up to our design expectations and was a great pleasure to work with. She listened well to our ideas and managed to incorporate all the features we wanted in a truly beautiful design. Now it is a really interesting garden with different views from different angles. There is a pleasure in walking round it via the new paths and it is lovely and green with a great structure I can build on over the years to come. A fantastically positive and collaborative experience.”

“Very professional, fabulous ideas, great concept drawings to help visualise, great to work with and a breadth and depth of knowledge to help achieve your dream garden. We needed a complete garden redesign, as it was old and overgrown. We met at a show, their work on display gave me confidence to book a consultation. After an inital discussion about what we liked/wanted to achieve, the designs were presented in 3 different ways, we decided to use a blend of 2 designs. The planting up was done in phases (our choice) the result is stunning! Just what we wanted, bee and wildlife friendly, with colour and interest throughout the year.”

“Sophie has a rare talent for taking a boring space an making it into something truly wonderful. My front garden, which was a rectangle of bare earth is now a tropical oasis with lush palms, ferns, colourful heucheras and swaying grasses. We often receive compliments from passers by and visitors and it is known in my street as “mini Kew Gardens”. We absolutely love what Sophie has designed for us and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who wants to transform even then smallest garden space in to their own corner of paradise.”

“After living with a completely green garden for the past couple of years, I asked Sophie to add some colour to it. She listened to my preferences, took into consideration my desire for something low maintenance and sourced reasonably priced plants to add to my boarders. She took the time to produce a design sketch for me and provided pictures of the plants in bloom so I knew what to expect. She then came for a day, with the help of Mary, to brighten my garden and had great knowledge of the new additions and how to care for them and advice in relation to the previous trees and bushes which needed some attention to make them as healthy as possible. Months later and my garden is looking much healthier, many of the flowers still blooming with colour and with little maintenance from myself. Sophie is always on hand when I have a question about my garden, whether that be how much I can cut back, what to look out for if a plant isn’t doing so well, what the normal seasonal changes of the plants are and she can always advise on how best to care for each plant/tree. I will definitely be asking Sophie back to add to another part of my garden and most definitely to design something for future gardens.”

“My greenhouse glass and polycarbonate arched sections were completely strafed by a freak hail storm we had in our area. Suntrap, via Dave Priestley, were the only ones to reply to my messages for a quote regarding the work needed to make good the damage. Upon surveying the damage I was given two options to choose from. Once I had made my choice Dave was in regular contact with me regarding the due date for the delivery of the materials on order and then a suitable date for completing the work. Through adverse conditions Dave completed the job on October 31st and I am extremely pleased with the finished article and the professional dealings I have had with Suntrap. Highly recommended.”
