“As the architects on a custom renovation and addition project, we were very pleased with the work completed by BABA Antique Wooden Floors. This project began as an abandoned oak log cabin on a rural farm in Chatham County, North Carolina. The clients desired a secluded weekend retreat that engaged the site through outdoor spaces and large windows. The design is rooted in the rocky outcroppings of the site and uses natural materials such as recycled pine flooring from BABA and on-site stone for exterior walls. BABA helped us fulfill the desires of the client, providing a high quality interior finish that fit with the aesthetic of building and site. We would recommend BABA for work of this type again.”

“Southern Hardwood refinished my wood floors and I am extremely happy with the outcome. They completed the work as promised including timing, quality, and clean up. James stated that each morning he would begin at 8am and he was there 10 minutes early each day and finished up exactly when he said he would. He promised there would be very little dust after the sanding phase (to which everyone I told said that was unlikely). To my surprise, there actually was VERY little dust. We left all our furniture and electronics out in the area between two rooms being refinished, and there was a minimal amount of clean up required after the sanding. The finished product is beautiful. I can't stop staring at them and have received many compliments. I have already given Southern Hardwood my highest recommendation to several friends and will continue to do so.”

“I recently used James @ Wakefield Flooring in Wake Forest to replace the carpet in my master closet with hardwood. Someone came out measured my closet and left a few sample boards. It wasn’t the biggest job, but he didn’t rush me and offered valuable suggestions. They do both pre-finished or finish-in-place . I went with pre-finished Owens Plank, which is a great product. The installer did a great job. I was very pleased with the work and am considering replacing the 2nd floor carpet with hardwood!”
