This would be my fervent advice to anyone looking for a kitchen designer in the western North Carolina/Greenville, SC area. His cabinet installers are like a teacher's favorite students...incredibly quiet, yet always “on-task” workers, who respectfully attend to every detail, and leave their working space exceptionally organized and clean for the following day. Kevin is also very hands-on himself, and can install with the best of them...proving he knows kitchens from the ground up. Kevin's counter installer is nothing short of a class act, has the utmost pride in his work, and who — like Kevin — is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. In effect...you're only as good as the people who work for you, and there was not one single day Kevin's team didn't finish up, that we'd say, "These are such good guys." We went to bed each night knowing anyone who came through our door to work on our kitchen was treating our home as if it was their own. Needless to say...this was priceless. “I have known Forest Millwork for many years. During this time I have had many projects built by their talented group of craftsmen. As an architect I have used them in the design portion of the project to try to maintain the budget where restricted and have also used them as a resource as to solve difficult design problems. They are very knowledgeable about wood species and stain and finish qualities. I am very particular about the completed product and have never had an issue with any of the final installations. What I appreciate about their approach is that they also care about the final product and want to make sure that the client is totally satisfied as well. Their shop drawings are very comprehensive and complete. I would not hesitate to recommend their work to a potential client.”

“Chuck and his son did an AMAZING job on our mantle and hearth made out of black walnut. This was a very difficult and complicated job because they are both 15 feet long and we wanted to keep a "live edge" on the front. They did a beautiful job that appears seamless and the finish is awesome. In addition, we had a few pieces of walnut left over so Chuck turned them into a beautiful console top and 2 side tables. I drew a rough picture and they figured it out. All are the highlight of our living room! The service was excellent and great value. Working with Chuck and his son was a pleasure and I would not hesitate to recommend them for any woodwork you are planning. Our new kitchen cabinets are next on the list and we will definitely be calling Chuck Hess Woodworking!”

“Met Greg and his team at Grovepark Inn. Professional, flexible, collaborative, no pressure for sale. Overall installed price of custom cabinets for our kitchen was competitive with higher quality non-custom cabinets but with more features, special details, and higher quality. Greg and his team worked closely with us on dimensions, finish, wood selection, details, budget, value engineering, etc. We had a lot of questions and special requests. However, they were always polite, patient, professional, and responsive. They worked with us to prioritize our wish list and stay within our budget and schedule. My wife and I were so please with our kitchen (2012) that we ordered cabinets for our bathrooms (2016). In the future, we'll contact Greg for our basement man cave. Highest recommendation.
