“Norm does great work and is very professional. We initially hired him to do a nursery for our first born in 2011 which included framing the windows, wainscoting, crown molding and paint. We loved the work and so much we had him back to do the same for our second child's room in 2013. Lastly we had Norm do a full remodel of our unfinished basement in 2014. This included having Bilco doors installed, all framing, insulating, electrical, drywall and painting. He even repiped our existing wood pellet stove to meet code. Norm also helped me relocate our outdoor swing set which had to moved to install the Bilco doors.”

“Dan did a great job for us at our cabin. He designed furniture that wraps around in a loft bedroom which includes custom sized cabinetry to accommodate various sized hunting and fishing equipment. Our queen bed with built in night stands has drawers underneath for additional storage. Hickory was used and careful stain selections made the look perfect for our vacation home! We hired Dan again to customize our kitchen island and pantry. Great choice for high quality within our budget!”

“A-K Custom is a top notch team of carpenters with best-in-class craftsmanship, professionalism, responsiveness and creativity! We requested Kevin and team to design an entertainment built-in for the main wall in our family room. We challenged Kevin to design a unit that brings the WOW FACTOR to our living space. A-K Custom did not disappoint and truly exceeded our expectations from design to install. Kevin visited our home to assess the space and get a sense for our style. His approach was very consultative and he truly listened to our vision for the room. Within a few days, A-K provided a handful of concepts and from there we worked closely with Kevin and Zoe to fine-tune the design to align with our budget. For the install, Kevin assigned Ryan and John to our project. Both were incredibly talented carpenters and great project communicators. They proactively informed us of their progress along the way and welcomed our questions during the install. Overall, we could not be more pleased with the results from A-K Custom. “I rarely write reviews for service providers but I felt that Distinctive Kitchens and Baths warranted an exception. We experienced a leak in our kitchen that led to the need for extensive repairs. This brought to mind concerns that we had over our upstairs bathrooms that both had sinks that were rusting out. We decided to get out in front of this before we had more major issues to contend with. At the same time we learned that my husband’s cancer had returned and we were preparing for major surgery. I was referred to Steve with Distinctive Kitchen and Baths. Right from the start I knew that I was dealing with a consummate professional. Steve took the time to listen to our needs pertaining to design, finance and time constraints. Steve and his team got to work immediately and delivered a finished product that exceeded our wildest expectations. Every time I walk into our bathrooms I am amazed by the quality of the work they delivered. In addition, Steve was incredibly thoughtful and considerate with respect to my husband’s health issues. I would recommend Distinctive Kitchens and Baths to anyone! (As a side note, my husband is home and progressing well.)”
