“The showroom is set up to show you what can go wrong with certain types of fireplace design. Very educational. We ordered our fireplace around the holidays so there was a delay, but the company was clear and honest about what to expect. (Tip: don't wait until November!) Overall I think prices were good compared to other places that we went to. Our unit was pretty basic, but these guys do a lot of high end projects too. The installation went well and was professional. My only concern which could make this a 4.5 star is that there was a gap on the right side of the unit where the unit met the floor (which is normal with the way houses settle), but they told us that we could fix that by adding caulking, and I felt that that should have been part of the installation process for a "completed" look. Perhaps they did not offer because the unit is unfinished oak, and we planned on staining the wood? Either way, very happy with overall purchase. The fireplace is the my favorite purchase of 2016.”

“Gas Works has installed a corner unit gas fireplace in our finished basement which worked perfectly for our room. Some specific considerations had to be made during the installation and they were able to perform the needed task. The unit is great and performs perfectly for our room. We also used them for our yearly safety checks on this unit as well as one in our living room. Great piece of mind to know that the unit works efficiently and safely. We also purchased a gas grill which was installed with a direct gas line. Perfect compliment for all our grilling needs!”

“We love our fireplace cover by Fireplace Fashion. We ordered the plain black and you actually can't tell that there's anything covering the fireplace glass doors it looks THAT good. Our basement was so cold in the winter so we can't wait to have it be a warmer with the wood burning fireplace opening sealed up with the magnetic cover. Beverly was wonderful to work with too. I was worried I would measure something wrong but the information on her website was really helpful. I also took pictures of our fireplace and sent them to Beverly to make sure that I would be ordering the correct size and she guided me through the process. I wish I had ordered this years ago. And I have to add, even with the exchange, (we are in Canada) it was worth every penny. Thanks Beverly!”

“I spoke to Chris and Jon at Modern gas about a fireplace for my bedroom, Last year. My room Was freezing no matter what, so I figured I would see if I could get something for my small space. The guys from modern gas came to my home and helped me figure out the best type and style for my home. I am very particular about my decor and didn't want anything too big. I found the perfect size/type for the room and love how warm and cozy my bedroom has now become. The guys were friendly, professional and careful with my house. There were a lot of different styles I was tempted to choose but finally decided on a unit that will be encased in cabinetry. A project my husband insists he can do. The guys at modern said they could help with cabinets, ect, but hubby wants to try. Anyway, I was able to get what I wanted for a great price, which made hubby happy, the owners were super knowledgeable and easy to work with.
