“I am the lucky owner of two of Rachel's pieces. The first is a watercolor ink on canvas of one of Rachel's dancing horses. This piece lends a lightness and vibrancy to my office. I love how the horse moves on the canvas. It is not only a strong representation of one of my favorite creatures, but also whimsical in its rendering and use of color. The piece never fails to get appreciative comments when visitors see it. The second is a ceramic vase of a horse bust in bone, crackle glaze. As a sculpture, this is a strong piece of artwork that easily anchors the room's decor. Add flowers to the mane, and it is both unusual and delightful. Again, it is a piece that never fails to garner positive remarks.”

“I first met Joe when he was a subcontractor on our downstairs bathroom remodel. He laid out the wall studs, constructed the wall, the door frame, and made the door (out of birch and poplar). His work was meticulous and thorough (much more so than the general contractor). About a month later, while I was contemplating what to do with the deeply worn steps leading upstairs to the bedrooms and master bath (the house was built in 1882), I thought of Joe. I asked him to stop by, which he did the next day, and we discussed what I might do. After advising me, I turned to him and said, "Could you do it?" Three days later the job was done -- new treads out of early growth pine, risers out of birch (all made in his shop). Along the way, we discussed everything from the history of old houses in Nyack to advice on how to repair worn finish places on our floors. Since then, I've stopped by his shop many times for advice on my own woodworking and house issues, and he's always responded without any rush or impatience. In short, he's not only a remarkable craftsman and artist, he's a genuine, honest businessman.”

“Barbara produced an amazing piece of art for my family. A portrait of our family home. A gift my siblings and I gave to our parents. The watercolor paintining is perfectly made, she was a pleasure to work with. She listened, responded in a timely manner and even included the tiniest details including a squirrel on our front stairs after I told her my mom loves our neighborhood squirrels. It is a piece that hangs in our home since the moment we got it. Highly recommend Barbara, her work will be he perfect addition to your home!”

Her work is always of the very highest quality and very fair pricing. She will work on the project until you are totally satisfied. She has done various different projects in my home in New Jersey . She has also worked in my apartment in New York City. She is creative and handles any ideas or suggestions with a desire to please you. I am confident that you couldn't go wrong with hiring her for any project you might dream up. I am always trying to find a new project for her to do for us.
