“We did the rounds of designers before engaging Ivy + Piper for our renovation of a 25 year old resort in Vanuatu. Our brief was vague, but we knew actually how we wanted the resort to feel. Melanie and Elizabeth came back with a design that not only represented who we were but how Vanuatu as a small group of Islands in the South Pacific feels and lives. They included our incredible history, our sunsets, our people and local craftmanship. We had a wonderful and easy relationship with 2 site visits and the rest by email. “I have a house in west end which was originally a single level 3 bedroom workers cottage. The house was built in underneath 5 years ago and the upper level (original house) was left un touched and rented in its original state. For added income I decided to rent out the lower levels and moved into the upper one. I was struggling with ideas on how to get the original house (over one hundred years old) to blend in and work with the newer, more modern lower levels. I appointed Dani Louis, to initially get ideas on colour schemes, light fittings, kitchen and bathroom layouts etc. Dani, was extremely helpful and full of great ideas. The house has kept some of its original features ie VJ walls etc, but now blends in nicely, mixing old world with new. Dani has tremendous buying power and sources great deals on fittings, fixtures etc and passes on her savings for all items as part of her service, which was amazing because the savings added up to be a lot more than the fee she charged. I am a very happy customer and would highly recommend Dani Louis Design to anybody wanting to undertake any form of renovation or design consultation. “Gary undertook the redecoration of the living spaces of my home during 2013, advised on the colour scheme for the exterior and provided some of the interior furniture from his collection. The result is outstanding and I am particularly pleased with the external colours chosen and the new furniture and artwork internally. Everything Gary suggested was just what I needed but I could never have come up with the solutions on my own. In addition, let me say that it was an absolute pleasure to work with Gary and I have no hesitation in recommending him to prospective clients.”

“I engaged Kirsty to give her advice on how to best prepare a house which I was listing to maximise it's buyer appeal on a limited budget. The fee for a one hour consultation paid for itself many, many times over in the amount added to the value of the home through following her suggestions. Unlike other stylists I have dealt with previously, Kirsty was not simply upselling hire of furniture/props through her - but she was mindful of the budget of the clients and gave outstanding advice as to how the house could best be presented by working with what already existed within the house. Kirsty was punctual, professional, her advice was spot on, and she was a pleasure to deal with at all times, and I genuinely cannot think of anything that would provide a better return on the investment for sellers or would-be sellers than to engage her.”

“I met Ashley at a networking event and we instantly connected. She is so friendly and makes people feel valued. Soon after meeting Ashley, she recommend me to one of her clients. Ashley attended the first meeting I had with her client. I was absolutely inspired by the relationship she had with her client. Ashley listened to them intently and made them feel valued and cared for. It was as if the client and her were long time friends, it was something really special to experience. The interior Ashley had designed was homely and seamlessly tied in with her client’s personality. It was not only elegant but it was practical. Apart from Ashley’s amazing design skills she is also active in supporting other small business owners. She has set up a support networking facebook group for women in small business where she provides encouragement to others. “Jo provided a full interior design specification for the refurbishment of lift foyers for 21 levels and 12 Villas in a Residential Tower Complex at Kangaroo Point Brisbane. The design included all floor wall and ceiling colour charts, wallpaper, new carpet design for the floors and lift cars and mirrors and prints for the walls of each floor foyer, and new door furniture for all Apartment doors. Jo then managed the actual work including coordinating tradesmen, checking colours, carpet laying, and delivery and hanging of mirrors and prints.”
