“Gemma is amazing! We bought an empty holiday let and I was completely stuck and overwhelmed with the task of decorating and furnishing it all. I gave Gemma a loose idea of style and she came up with a brilliant scheme for every room, then sourced and fitted everything, from the sofas and beds down to the small accessories and kitchenware. The house looks better than I ever could have imagined and the customer comments reflect that. I wouldn't hesitate to use Gemma for any interior design work we ever need, big or small.”

She takes time to get to know your personality to help you create a very personal home and has come up with some fantastic ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of myself. I would highly recommend.”

“It was a few years ago when he did this work for us but overall it was good work and I would recommend him to others. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted or even if it was a good idea but he was able to show me it could be done and would work well, so we went ahead with the conversion of the cellar. There were a few changes that had to made as it was going along (some of them us changing our minds and some the designs needing tweaking, but as I said it was some years ago and he was a bit new to this) but he was very practical and inventive about it and it all got completed within the budget, which he had warned us would be a bit narrow, but as we were doing a lot of the work ourselves that helped. He was able to source us some lovely coving from Germany and found us some matching brass wall sconces so it all worked well together and is still one of our favorite rooms.”

“My husband has mobility needs and we contacted Charlotte for an initial chat about how she could help us adapt our house without it looking like a retirement home. I gave Charlotte no design direction, as previously we have not considered this to be important. Charlotte was so patient with us, she listened and drew out from us how we like to live our lives and what could be better for us in our home. Charlotte not only considered our situation now but that of the future as we are not getting any younger. “We have been delighted with RMD, with their designs and the transformations of a house into our home. We had originally created the floor space but struggled with how to finish it to realise its full potential and create a home that was right for us. RMD suggested themes, textures and colours that we would never have considered ourselves but that we really love. Presenting a number of options to better understand our preferences was a great part of the process – even merging some themes to get to the best result for us. It was a collaborative process throughout and once the team got to know us, the designs for further rooms were straightforward. RMD have achieved a warm and comfortable style balanced with practicality, flow and best use of space. We could not be happier. We would highly recommend Rachel and her team at RMD and will of course be using them again (very soon!)”

“Diane, Emma and the Team We would like to thank you all and say that our kitchen has surpassed our wildest dreams. 12 months ago we approached several kitchen designers and were extremely disappointed with their lack of vision and understanding of our requirements and aspirations. Then you were recommended to us by a friend and from our very first meeting with Emma it was clear that not only did you understand our requirements, but your product was clearly superior and your vision was leagues ahead of the competition. You took what was previously two rooms, forming a very poor working space, and developed a design that integrated the rooms into a single well-structured kitchen. Emma was excellent and a pleasure to work with. From producing the initial design and being patient with us through the detailed design and selection of units and appliances, giving us valuable guidance and ideas throughout the entire process. We have finally added all our finishing touches and love spending time in our new kitchen, cooking, relaxing and entertaining. “We found Chic on the Internet & were allocated Emma as our designer. We hit it off with her straight away & she quickly learnt how to work alongside us. She was very patient & professional & drew on our home & garden to come up with a design suitable for us. She had some good contacts & came up with some good prices for our lounge/staircase/landing project. We had a few blips, mainly with damaged goods arriving via on line buying. We found the ordering & returning of damaged goods the worst part of the whole project. In the main the workforce she employed were very good & although the whole project seemed to take a long time, we are highly satisfied with the end result.”

“Inspired Show Homes did an amazing set of interior design projects for us including 3 holiday let cottages in Lulworth Cove and a flat in Guildford. The standard of finish was very high indeed. Maria has an excellent attention to detail, leaving no stone unturned in her pursuit of every detail that transforms the inside of any house or apartment no matter how big or small the project. She was also very flexible on budget needs always looking for efficiency without compromising quality. I would highly recommend Inspired Show Home for any interior design project you may have.”

“I have known Lana for some time and have seen many examples of the magic she has worked for other clients. A couple of years ago I bought a large, Victorian house which had many original features intact, but was in need of a complete makeover from top to bottom. Other than wanting to keep the original fireplaces, deep skirting boards, lincrusta wallcovering and decorative covings, I didn't really have a particular 'look' in mind. Lana explained that the refurbishment would have to be completed in phases, with the first stage focusing on building work. The combination of her meticulous planning and extensive network of contacts meant that the replumbing, rewiring, complete window replacement and building of a new staircase were all completed on time, to budget and with the minimum of fuss. There was, of course, a lot of disruption during this part of the process but the end results were worth it. Lana's input into the design of the new, large double glazed sash windows has turned them into beautiful features, rather than functional objects. Her design of the new staircase to fit into a tight space demonstrates her technical expertise aswell as creativity. Phase 2 of the project involved the replacement of bathrooms and the kitchen. Lana designed the layouts for each, starting with a blank piece of paper. A number of options were explained to me, from the fairly straightforward replacement like-for-like of fittings, through to the complete rebuild including removal of walls. Having selected the preferred layout (I went for the complete rebuild), Lana then set to work sourcing unusual and stunning tiles, worktops, fittings and lighting. The results are amazing - totally functional rooms but beautiful at the same time. The final phase (for now, at least) of the transformation was the one which people normally associate with interior designers - furniture, fabrics, floor coverings, lighting and accessories. I confess to being hopeless at putting together combinations of colours, designs and textures but Lana is an absolute star. The array of products she is able to source from around the world is incredible and for each room I was presented with alternative schemes. I have contemporary furniture from Italy covered in fabric from France, sliding panels created from Japanese silk, light fittings from Portugal and bespoke furniture, hand crafted locally to Lana's original design. The overall look of the house is phenomenal. The original Victorian features have been brought back to life by careful choices of colour and are complemented throughout by the careful choice of modern materials. As if this isn't enough, Lana produces fabulous original artwork on canvas, glass, metal and wood. The perfect finishing touch to any room.”
