“Our experience with Caryn Paradis was excellent from start to finish. We had an unfinished basement that we wanted to finish and didn't know where to begin. Caryn talked with us in detail about how we wanted to use our basement and then came up with plans that included all of our needs as well as ideas that we hadn't even considered but should have. She was able to design a space that incorporated areas for everyone in our family, including our young son--even a stage that could be pulled apart for use as couches when he becomes a teenager! Because we live in separate states, Caryn was able to do much of the work remotely with minimal visits to our home to take measurements, etc. She had finish samples sent directly to us quickly and walked us through the decision making process. She designed specific requests, such as a fireplace for my husband and a guest room/office area. Caryn paid attention not only to the aesthetics of the job, but also the practicalities, such as outlet placement and HVAC. She also included amenities such as a well-placed dorm fridge which will come in handy when our son is old enough to use the space as a hang-out with friends. All in all, the job was smooth, well-designed and surprisingly painless. Caryn listened to our needs and then exceeded them. We would recommend her without reservation.”

“We worked with Hartley & Hill Design to completely renovate and redesign our kitchen last summer. They were fantastic and we cannot say enough about how wonderful they were. We met with them and described the concepts that we wanted (functional and classic, keeping in mind that we like to entertain, but we have small children and a busy family life). They put together the design and sat down with us to explain their ideas very thoroughly and also run through the budget. They came up with a fantastic design that we never would have thought possible, incorporating very creative ideas, while still keeping in mind our budget as well as our personal preferences. It was a very collaborative process, with us being as involved as we wanted to be, but not feeling like we had to manage a project; they expertly managed the project for us! All of the subcontractors they hired were first class. The renovation was very well organized, there was consistent open communication, any hiccups along the way (as will happen in any project this size) were managed smoothly and effectively. Needless to say, we are thrilled with the end result. We can't wait to use them again soon to redesign our dining room/living room area. We would highly recommend them!”

“Jeanne was amazing to work with. This project was particularly challenging as we purchased a house from a developer mid construction so had to work with existing elements that had already been selected and blend them with our aesthetic. She helped us select everything: tile, plumbing fixtures, doors, hardware, lighting, counters, backsplash, paint and furnishings to create our dream home! Throughout the process she has been super responsive, organized, detailed, and just a pleasure to work with. We could not had a better experience!”

“I've worked with Kristen on several design projects in my home and she consistently over-delivers on offering great advice and creative solutions. Kristen always listens to ensure she understands what I'm trying to achieve, then provides the right balance of guidance and direction to find the right solution for each individual challenge. She is extremely responsive, accurate and we always have a good time. Kristen delivers great customer service as well. “We used Danielli and her team to remodel a condominium. She handled every aspect of the job including the design, hiring the contractors, demolition and rebuild. We are very happy with the results. We now rent the unit out at a premium rent. Everyone who sees the place comments on how beautiful it is. I recommend Danielli for any project and intend to work with her again.”

“We have known Eve Ber of Eve Leslie Designs for many years. Recently, Eve designed our complete basement remodel. She was part of the project from start to finish over 6 months and worked directly with the Contractors on all the major design and structural decisions. Eve is professional in all she does and leaves no stone unturned. She customized our outdated basement to a completely finished one that now resembles a 2nd family room. Our basement was fit for our family’s specific needs and now it functions exactly the way we had envisioned. She is detail oriented, easy to work with, able to stick to our budget and added a creative touch beyond what we could have done ourselves!”

“Sabrina, took my old antique chairs and gave them the perfect make over. The beautiful fabric looks amazing in my living space and the accent chairs are perfection! She really understood the prints and colors I wanted and gave me so many wonderful options! There were so many amazing patterns to choose from I ended up making a custom curtain for my "lilly Pulitzer" inspired room that goes perfectly! Sabrina also gave my cherished heirloom Hitchcock bench a pop of color and made a cushion for that too! So happy with everything and can't wait to work with Sabrina for our next project!! Thank you!!”

“I first hired Kirsten in Aug. 2008 to redecorate two bedrooms. Since then, she has gone on to redo all the rooms in my house (some of which can be seen on her web site and on houzz). After almost four years,we are the last room, the library. Kirsten turned a dark and dated house into a delightful and comfortable home. When we started I thought I knew how I wanted the place to feel but not how it should look to get that way. From our first meeting, Kirsten patiently and carefully listened. She gracefully accepted that I wanted to shop at vintage and antique stores and wanted to be more hands on than most customers, but she was always gently in control of the process. It is impossible to talk about details since the job entailed completely redoing six rooms (including the kitchen) and two baths. Kirsten does fabulous work for a fair price and always puts the customer's interests first. She is beloved by the trades people she works with because she is kind and very nice, but she really gets the job done. My only regret is that I have run out of rooms for her to work on. If you live in Connecticut, and you need a designer, hire this woman. You will be very happy.”
