“We recently completed a major renovation on the upper floor of our bungalow. The major part of the reno was to flip the two biggest spaces where our kitchen became our new living room and our living room became our new kitchen. This idea was partly inspired by Christine but completely supported.
We had done virtually nothing to our home since purchasing it in 1995 so this was a very new process for us. Christine was incredibly patient as we considered idea after idea. She had a demeanour that kept us on track and made us feel like our ideas had merit. She wanted us to take the lead on the design because it was our home. But she then took our ideas and created a picture where we could see the transformation from a project to a home.
Christine made this process as easy as it could be for us. She took care of some little things along the way just when she could sense it was a little overwhelming. She was reassuring through the entire process and we felt that her genuine effort to make a personal connection made a huge difference.
Perhaps the biggest compliment we can give her is that when we walked into our new home the project was completed exactly how we envisioned it. And it felt like home. Christine deserves a lot of the credit for making that happen.”

“Cynthia is such a talented interior designer. She listened to what we wanted for our cottage, and made it even better than we had imagined. We went from owning a cottage stuck in the mid-eighties to one that was more contemporary, relaxed, and comfortable. Gone was the yellow and blue colour theme, the tired furniture, and dusty check curtains. In their place, was a bright, airy, refreshing colour theme (white and aqua green) with new furniture that was comfortable and inviting, and bedrooms that were comfortable and cottagey, without looking caught in a bad time warp. We, and everyone who visited us last summer, loved what she's done to create our oasis on the water. We highly recommend Cynthia!”

“We hired Teahen Construction to do a full reno of our ensuite bathroom, and we could not have been happier. Everyone we dealt with was professional and respectful, and that really helped make the project as stress-free as it possibly could have been.
Every day the guys arrived to work, they were happy and courteous - I can't stress enough how good it feels to leave your house to people who genuinely wants to make it better and clearly take pride in their work. They also cleaned up after each day with much more care than we had ever previously experienced.
The project was completed on time and on budget. There were some pricing changes due to changes we made, and those were always made clear at the time so we could keep things in perspective.
Would we use Teahen Construction again? Absolutely, and plan to when we do our kitchen in a few years.”

“Christine designed our master bedroom and it is the room of my dreams! She was part interior designer and part contractor, essentially, since she arranged and oversaw all the work that was done. She would send pieces for me to approve and she has such a great eye that I often chose the first option she sent me. She'd then order and deliver the pieces to me and invoice me at the end -- it couldn't have been more convenient! I have other rooms I'm looking to revamp and I'm actually nervous she'll be too busy to fit me in since she's so talented!”

“I hired Wendy Wilkinson Interiors to provide guidance and support in upgrading a number of areas in my townhouse. I knew of Wendy's work from friends whom she had completed beautiful projects. My project was a multi-room and multi task project and I needed help to break it down into manageable stages and to develop a budget to see it through.
Wendy's knowledge and intuition about the use of space, colour and fabrics, styling, placement of furniture, objectivity, workmanship, congeniality, support and budget conscious methods helped me to understand the process of achieving success of this multifaceted project.
The project consisted of:
- Painting the entire house: right from the entry level up to the kitchen, dining and living room level, and onwards to the next level consisting of office and guest room, and on up to the master suite
- Kitchen reallocation of space and purchase of new cabinetry for valuable storage solutions (our budget did not include a complete kitchen makeover)
- The largest budgeted item was the replacement of carpet with hard wood flooring. Wendy was instrumental in choosing new hard wood flooring for the office, guest room and associated hallway (one entire level of the house) to match the main floor existing hard wood on the level below. She was also responsible for our ultimate choice of replacement carpet for one of the stair cases, with a corresponding runner on the hard wood stair case from the entry level which provided wow factor as you stepped in the front door.
- new guest room furniture that was functional yet comfortable
- new draperies, carpets, accents, and rearrangement of furniture
- new lighting in dining area
We hadn't expected to sell our home but shortly after completing this project, we had to move. The townhouse sold in an extremely short period of time, and I believe it was due to the classic and tasteful outcome of our updates and how well the house showed.
Wendy has a wealth of knowledge and contacts to get just about anything done. If she doesn't know how to do it, she will know someone who does. I highly recommend her services, wether you are just doing a simple refresh or a complete makeover.
