“Why Do I Need an Interior Decorator and How Can I afford one?
“Comments from a client”
Moving to Tryon 12 years ago, we bought our first house. It was in very good move-in condition and few improvements had to be made at that time. Over the years, I have tried on my own to make the necessary home decorating decisions. Some (a lot) that I made were wrong, such as paint colors that we have had to live with, and other decisions I didn't make at all because I couldn't make up my mind.
It never occurred to me that by hiring a professional interior decorator, I could save money! By hiring an interior decorator who (1) already knows the paint colors, (2) fabric samples and where to get them, (3) what companies have the best prices, (4) the best workers and their quality of workmanship, (5) and knowledge of appliances and furniture manufacturers, we benefit from her discount. She also believes in working with what you already have and simply making it better. Her advice alone has saved me from making more mistakes and finally moving forward.
First, my husband and I made a budget and listed what we thought were our immediate priorities. Then we called Gillian Drummond, The Drummond House, who is right here in the area, for a consultation. She took our list and prioritized it to fit the budget that we had.
We have now begun and are very excited with our progress and decisions. And to top it off, we are under budget! In conclusion, I want to point out that Gillian handles the daily details in a very pleasant way and invaluable to all who work with her.”

The personal website and room boards were very helpful in visualizing the finished space.

We still lived in Rhode Island at that time so it was important to us to work with a firm that could manage this process for us while keeping us informed every step of the way. We needed complete confidence in them – we absolutely had this with LMD|PFPH and they pulled it off beautifully.
"They selected and installed all furnishings, art, and accessories for both homes. Our home at Keowee was a custom build, and LMD|PFPH was involved from the very beginning, selecting all exterior and interior specifications in addition to the interior selections down to the linens and dishes. It was truly a turnkey experience – we walked into a “ready-to-live” home. The entire process was a pleasure.
