“Planning for my later years with increasing physical diminishment, I used the building and design team of FAIRFAX DESIGN SOLUTIONS (Martha Fecteau and Sam Scott)) to undertake an extensive ‘Aging in Place’ remodel of my cherished home of 43 years. The remodel includes an additional powder room on main floor, creating a large master bedroom by removing a wall between 2 bedrooms, creating a large, extraordinary master bath with a 5x6 curb-less shower that includes a folding teak bench, moving W/D from basement up next to bedroom, and creating a beautiful office with built in cabinets in the old dining room. All suggested ADA/ fall prevention improvements were incorporated. Both Martha and Sam were terrific to work with. They drew on years of experience and collaboration, pulling together tremendous skill and craftsmanship in the design and execution of the project. They creatively grappled with modifications provoked by the nature of my 1955 house. They both have steady, calming personas.They were incredibly patient and accommodating to health challenges of my own during construction. Martha brought all products to me to choose from, saving me a lot of time and energy. Sam was on the project everyday — either managing the skilled laborers he brought in to do the plumbing, electricity, dry wall, tiling, etc. or crafting himself some beautiful, original wainscoting to dress up the new hallway. Martha and Sam’s reassuring skill, creativity, thoughtfulness and integrity made the remodel a blessing in every way. Marilu, McLean, VA”

“Beth was a gem to work with. She immediately grasped our aesthetic and made several spot-on suggestions during a short window of time when we had an opportunity to influence the final stages of a rebuild on a home we were in the process of purchasing. She helped us with colors, light fixtures, kitchen design, master bathroom design, and tile selection. Lucky for us, she also gently dissuaded us from a couple of ideas for which we hadn't considered the downsides. And finally, I would add that Beth has an artful, diplomatic communication style that was incredibly valuable to us -- we are a couple with lots of opinions, often differing. Beth was great at helping to inch us toward consensus! We can't wait for the builders to finish so that we can have her over for a celebratory glass of wine!”

“We worked with Elena Glas Home during a complete home renovation that included the addition of a second story. She consulted with us on selection and decisions before, during and after build. Ideas and concepts had both day to day functionality and a "wow"appeal. Her absolute professionalism showed in her work process, communication and final product. She was very patient, thoughtful and aimed to meet our preferences and needs. Sometimes we didn't even know what we wanted and she helped us visualize our ideas with samples and digital sketches. “Casey is the best! Welcoming friendly, and patient. I came into my local Ethan Allen with no clue on the type of couch I wanted for my living room. Casey walked me through the store showing different couches, and explaining the different fabrics, styles, and comfort. After I making my decision Casey then helped me with my fabric of choice. Unfortunately due to furniture being delayed of delivery, Casey stayed in touch with me keeping me updated on the progress, and delivery date. My couch finally arrived and I am in Love. I will be working on other parts of my home soon and will definitely be reaching out to Casey for her help and expertise. Thank you Casey!”
