“I hired William Dewson Architects to design a summer cottage in Georgian Bay on a 5 acre island. Our first challenge was to figure out the site plan and where to put the cottage given numerous zoning restrictions and other natural fators. Bill and his team were great to work with throughout the whole process of defining the best site and then brainstorming the design that best suited our family asthetic. Bill's charismatic enthusiasm made our meetings fun and creative, we were all very happy with the end result and thoroughly enjoyed the design experience from start to finish.”

As a builder, I appreciate Trevor’s attention to detail and his ability to come up with designs that are aesthetically pleasing and well-laid-out, yet practical and “buildable.” His familiarity with the architecture and construction of older Toronto homes (which comprise the majority of our work) – as well has his familiarity with the ins and outs of the city’s zoning and permitting processes – means I can always rely on him to get the job done. Trevor is also a great communicator; he’s easy to get hold of and is prompt in answering questions. He was very knowledeable and using my sketches drew up working plans to help us navigate the complexities of the building code, and produced a great design with which to obtain building quotes etc. He helped us realize the vision we had for our home and we would definitely recommend hiring him!
