It truly has to be a team effort. We have worked with Knock Architecture and Design on multiple high-end remodels and renovations. “We used John Lum Architecture for the complete remodel of ~1000 sq ft in San Francisco. John and team were fantastic to work with. Very creative yet good at listening to our thoughts and integrating our ideas. They understand how to both design a gorgeous contemporary space while still keeping it comfortable and livable. We depended on them with a lot of design detail recommendations such as fixtures, paint, tiles and they always had great suggestions that made the process much simpler and easy to manage. They are very professional, extremely responsive and timely. There were no surprises during the entire process including on deadlines and budgets. I would strongly recommend them.”

“Nick Lee and his team at houseplans.com took us from a blank canvas for a property we purchased to a wonderful and beautiful house, guest house, barn, driveway, landscaping, and all of the other numerous things that turned our 14 acre parcel into a spectacular property. When we started, we had no electricity, no water, no septic, no driveway, no fence, no gate - just a beautiful piece of property. We did not even know where we would place the buildings on the property. Nick and his team developed the site plan, designed the house and the guest house and and placed the pool, driveway, landscaping, barn and all of the other items into a plan that flows extremely well. They followed the project through to completion and we are extremely pleased with the result. We cannot recommend this team highly enough!”

“My HOA hired Klopf Architecture to design new fences, front gates, lighting and paint color plans for our condominiums. They were designed in 1963 by Quincy and Jones and built in 1964 by Eichler Homes. Replacements in the 1990s did not serve the mid-century aesthetic well -- but owners did not want to return to the light-inhibiting original thin-line panel fences and gates. The Klopf team produced three outstanding options. The one we selected includes brilliant design features like frosted glass doors with 1/4-in spaces between fence boards to allow light in along with clear glass doors for the pool area with 1/2-in spaces between boards surrounding it. The overall design and color plan is clean and elegant. John Klopf and his team could not have been more friendly and flexible throughout. We look forward to implementing this design over the next few years.”

“We were in a unique situation - an opportunity to do some remodeling after a house fire. With the insurance budget parameters, we were still hopeful we could make some beautiful improvements to our home. Lincoln was the perfect person to partner with. He helped us envision simple, creative and impactful changes to our home that included opening our dining room up so that the best view in the house (from a kitchen window) was visible from the living and dining rooms. He listened to our wish to host larger dinner parties and created a movable ceiling light, so it can always be centrally positioned regardless of how long our dining room table might be. He worked with our more conservative contractor and helped advocate for our ideas, finding modern, sleek textiles and cabinetry that immediately increased the value of our home. A back hallway became a pantry; a small closet in the bedroom was expanded to become a little walk-in closet. We built in a post-modern ladder to the attic, an interior wall window to bring more light into the bedroom and many other details we wouldn't have thought about. Lincoln's vision and experience elevated our home and it turned a disaster (fire) into a huge opportunity! I highly recommend collaborating with Lincoln on your next project, big or small.”

“My wife and I hired Jim's firm to design and draw our home in Sebastopol. We are extremely happy we went to them. Jim's use of glass and space is incredible. I have been around construction my whole life and have played designer a little on other homes but we are so glad we went to a true professional who has the kind of experience, imagination and vision that Jim has. His price was very reasonable for the quality product that he delivered - way ahead of his proposed schedule we might add! The house went together smoothly exactly as drawn!
