This is a first house that we have started from the ground up and he treated each of our questions with respect even if it wasn't something that could be done. He would then explain why it would or wouldn't work.”

“Andrew helped us file for an Alt-2 permit with the NYC DOB. He also helped us with our co-op board package. His services included initial consultation, measurements, architectural drawings, plumbing plan, statement of work being done, filing of permit (with an expeditor), permit pulling, and other certifications required by our board. Andrew was very responsive and flexible. He was able to set up an initial consultation within 24 hours. He came prepared and measured our apartment during the consultation. We executed the contract and the first payment was made shortly thereafter. Andrew has completed all of the work in his scope and has done an amazing job. Even during the renovation process, he went above and beyond his duties and continued checking in. Andrew has provided an A+ experience and we have already recommended him to a couple of friends. He's a class act and will respond very quickly in a professional and polite manner.”

“Marlene was professional, and we enjoyed working with her on the design of our home and a small boat house. She encouraged us to bring our ideas to her, both written/verbal and photos of designs and home features from magazines. Our property posed some complexities due to the lot being narrow and steep with both shoreline and fire protection constraints. She worked efficiently, and we iterated on her designs several times as we fine-tuned some of the house plan details and worked through the various constraints until the plans and structural analysis were completed by an engineer before we submitted them to the county for permitting. The plans were approved by the county with no issues, and our construction contractors never needed to consult with Marlene as far as I recall. We are still very happy with the home after living here for 13 years.”

Our lot was designated for a two-story home; we wanted a rancher for our seniors years with wide halls and few steps. Steven negotiated with the builder to provide a one story within an agreed footprint. We had a very difficult corner lot and he helped maximize the entire property. The layout of the open-space concept is fantastic and we enjoy living in the house. The details included vaulted ceiling, large kitchen, adjacent family room and views to the backyard. He emphasized lighting and some clever lighting for the niches / upper coves we had in the design. He even had great suggestions with infrared heating for the garage and landscaping.”
