We began design of a new home with Gail Hallock, Inc. in April, 2011 after working with a number of other architects for about a year on preliminary designs. It was important to us that the architect understood the project holistically. Most seemed to concentrate on the exterior and not the livability & flow of the interior - requirements important to us. Gail deftly sketched throughout our conversations making sure we were on the same page. She was adept at picking up our 'style'. She does not produce cookie-cutter homes. During construction Gail handled problems adroitly and turned many into an opportunity to take something and make it even better. The creativity that Gail demonstrated with our home amazes me even today, a year after taking up residence. There's not a day that goes by that I don't look at some detail Gail created and think how beautiful it is and how lucky I am to live here. Gail is also one of the kindest people I have come across, plays well with others and was a strong and demonstrative advocate making sure that our home was built exactly as specified and with the correct materials throughout the project. We feel very fortunate to have found her. She does wear some fairly silly hats.”
