“Working with Jimmy Crisp and his associates was a great and valuable learning experience that could not have turned out better than it did. Jimmy truly met, and in many instances, went beyond our expectations. The project, which was a complete gut renovation, went very smoothly and it did come in on budget with the exception of new items that were included after our original quote. Of course there were differences of opinions and long discussions about changes/desired outcomes and new costs, however, I would say that because of Jimmy's constant presence at the site, complete knowledge of exactly what was suppose to happen at all stages of the project and calm manner we escaped situations that could, at the time, have been less satisfactory. Jimmy, the associates and clerical employees of his firm are all a 10 in my book! My experience with Crisp Architects makes me believe that anyone seeking a great architect, backed by a most professional staff, could not do better than to choose Crisp Architects.”

“Without Jack my house would never have been built. We needed to tuck this little house into a narrow urban lot in a Historic District and make it look like it was always there. We survived 7! public hearings with heavy revision. Jack remained true to my original vision while accommodating the requirements of many other visions of what my house needed to be. His price was fair, his manner engaging and open. My house won an award and i gained a valued friend. He and and his staff are the best architectural firm ever.”

“Be assured that you will be in excellent hands with Stacy at SKM Design. We can not recommend her highly enough! We did not use an architect or designer for our previous 2 renovations and I wish we had known Stacy then. We literally have no regrets with the layout or design choices in our current house. We have a 1920’s traditional colonial and she was excellent at marrying the character of our older home with today’s modern amenities. She leaves no stone unturned, keeps her eyes on the budget, works quickly, is a task master and will come up with a design plan that fits your lifestyle and budget. Stacy will also help you refine or identify your aesthetic if you don’t already have one. For our renovation, she facilitated the bidding process and managed our project every step of the way. She was able to recommend 3 builders for the bidding and a slew of tradespeople. She‘s also a joy to work with and an outstanding human being- you will love having her around.”

“We purchased an open concept home that was TOO open. We needed a design solution to expand and define the dining room, provide privacy for a powder room and, yet, still maintain the sense of openness. Gary spent time brainstorming with us and was instrumental in giving us the perfect design solution, one we weren't even considering! He provided excellent construction administration and permitting services as well as solving a complex structural issue. Well worth it, very easy to work with, highly recommend!”

“Todd and I worked together for over five years on a painstaking historic restoration and renovation of my 1842 row house in Greenwich Village (NYC). I have nothing but the highest regard for him and would recommend him to anyone, whether they are doing a project similar to mine or completely different. Todd is smart, knowledgeable, conscientious, and a great collaborator. His breadth of knowledge is huge, spanning everything from architectural styles and periods to the technical aspects of mechanical systems, roofing, etc. He worked well with all of my contractors and mechanics and came up with beautiful design ideas that reflected what I was trying to achieve. His fees were reasonable and he always met deadlines. If I had another project to do, I would definitely hire him again.”
