They were able to design custom cabinetry, pantry, and walk-in closets to increase storage space, a tiled room floor to ceiling for our hot tub and massage chairs, and a kennel including an area for our dogs to sleep, special bathing area with steps, sink, and area to store food, toys, medicines, etc. The front entrance, shower, and doorways were designed to be handicap accessible for future needs. I was made aware of any budget or any other modifications before changes were made. Because of their experience with different types of construction projects, they were able to solve problems. The staff were enjoyable to work with and very professional.”

I told her I wanted a screened-in porch added to the back of my house, and she listened carefully, came for a site visit, then drew up plans according to what I was looking for. We tweaked it a time or two, and she made me three copies of the plans for my contractor and for permitting. Contractor was most impressed with the quality. Because he wasn't able to build within the time I had available, the contractor ultimately did not take the job. But the plans were lovely, reasonably priced, and very professionally done.”

“I am the owner of the Quincy House and my mom is the owner of the Mid Century Kitchen home. We love Open Door Architecture! They created a great design. In both cases maintaining the same footprint, yet rearranging the space to create more function. The design was reasonably priced and they were not fazed by last minute changes of heart. In fact, they designed a beautiful upstairs bedroom and bathroom for this house. After the demolition, we realized implementation would be more than the house was worth. They really saved me here. If I had not had their design, I might have been tempted to start the project only to find out that I was in for more money and time than original thought. They designed a remodel of a downstairs bathroom and bedroom that is turning out nicely. Both Sean and Sarah have been available for me during construction. They have helped me make decisions on such trivial items as grout color all the way up to design of a fireplace mantle. I would highly recommend them for remodel jobs big and small.
