I am a real estate professional and I have come across some great works of art in the form of houses and have met their creators. What impressed me about James McDonald was his ability to listen carefully and understand our needs, It's like we told him our dream and he put it on paper even better than we had dreamt it. Throughout the building process he was available and willing to make any changes big or small, if practically possible. We trusted him completely and he never let us down. He has the highest work ethics and a stellar team to help him through extremely busy periods too. “I interviewed three architects before choosing Broadhurst Architects to work with me on the demo of a approx. 450sq foot addition, the design of the addition of a approx. 750 sq. foot addition, a new back porch and patio, the remodeling of our kitchen, and door and molding upgrades to the existing home. Jeff Broadhurst and his team patiently worked with us for over a year on the design. He had a big challenge. I had dreams of large, dedicated spaces in a tiny footprint with a small budget. I wasn't the easiest customer I am sure. His professionalism extended to managing the construction process and a difficult contractor. The end result exceeds our expectations. We have beautiful spaces that are much larger than I could have dreamed. The attention to detail shines through. I couldn't be happier and love sitting in my new spaces admiring the design and function.”

“Scott was incredibly helpful, he explained a lot to me and gave me advice even after he knew I was not going to use him as an architect, he still took the time to make sure I was on the right track and told me things to ask the architect I was using instead to make sure my project was done right. The only reason I did not go with him was because the architect I originally got a quote from was less expensive because I was tweaking a design they had already created, versus starting from scratch. Otherwise I would have chosen Scott. He is a good person, very helpful and seems like an incredibly knowledgeable architect. I would recommend him for sure.”

Sarah took our quaint Cape Cod home in North Arlington and made it into a beautiful home for a growing family. We told Sarah how we wanted to keep the charm and curb appeal that fit the neighborhood, and she surpassed our expectations. Our home could not be more functional thanks to Sarah's expertise, and we are always receiving compliments. Our open floor plan with large amounts of natural light could not be more perfect. If we ever take the plunge to purchase another home in NOVA in need of renovations, Sarah will receive the first phone call.”
