John Magor Photography. The Closet Factory designed the practical storage for the Butler's Pantry. The key details are the full height storage cabinet, the lucite drawer fronts and the stainless steel laminate countertop. This storage area provides the perfect spot to stage for a party or get ready for a weeknight dinner.

Frescoes: by Periwinkle Skies
Fresco is the Italian word for fresh and is a type of mural painting. It is a long and involved technique consisting of three layers of differently textured lime plaster followed by a final finish. The top layer is composed of lime-tolerant pigments dissolved in lime water, and is painted onto the final plaster layer while the plaster is still wet. Success depends on good preparation, since every brush stroke is permanent. Lime plaster dries by a process of carbonation. The pigments get caught up in this process and become integrated with the surface of the plaster, making fresco an extremely durable way of adding color to a wall. Examples of this technique can be found around the world, including Europe, China, India, and Russia. Although examples still survive from the sixteenth century BC in Greece and Morocco, the technique saw its full flourishing in Renaissance Italy in the hands of the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael.
Periwinkle Skies has adorned wine cellars, restaurants, couture shops and residences with murals and frescoes in all over New Jersey, as well as in Connecticut and New York. View more of our work at www.periwinkleskies.com

Vintage Cellars
Wine Cellar in Memphis, TN. Working with the customer via phone & email on design concepts from inital planning to design to building the racking.
This 1000+ Bottle, glass enclosed, custom wine cellar was built in Memphis, Tennessee using custom stain and finish and Maple wine racking. This beautiful, almost mid century looking wine room utilizes a 1 ton fully ducted wine guardian cooling system. Vintage Cellars made sure to oversize this cooling unit in this particular wine storage space due to the large glass doors the client wished to incorporate into the space. This space also had custom stonework built into which the wine racking was placed. The accentuated lighting adds that extra kick to this walk in wine cellar.

Interior design, space planning and architectural details converge thoughtfully in this transformative project. A 15-year old, 9,000 sf. home with generic interior finishes and odd layout needed bold, modern, fun and highly functional transformation for a large bustling family. To redefine the soul of this home, texture and light were given primary consideration. Elegant contemporary finishes, a warm color palette and dramatic lighting defined modern style throughout. A cascading chandelier by Stone Lighting in the entry makes a strong entry statement. Walls were removed to allow the kitchen/great/dining room to become a vibrant social center. A minimalist design approach is the perfect backdrop for the diverse art collection. Yet, the home is still highly functional for the entire family. We added windows, fireplaces, water features, and extended the home out to an expansive patio and yard.
The cavernous beige basement became an entertaining mecca, with a glowing modern wine-room, full bar, media room, arcade, billiards room and professional gym.
Bathrooms were all designed with personality and craftsmanship, featuring unique tiles, floating wood vanities and striking lighting.
This project was a 50/50 collaboration between Rodwin Architecture and Kimball Modern

With a chic, framed iron glass wall at the entrance, the wine cellar becomes the star of the ‘22 Remodel while providing ample bottle storage to the wet bar. A skinny layout required the slimmest wine rack to allow for beautiful visuals and function.

The area under a staircase is often used for a closet, boring! Designing in wine country, what a great idea to use the space as a wine/bar area instead.
