The client had a finished basement space that was not functioning for the entire family. He spent a lot of time in his gym, which was not large enough to accommodate all his equipment and did not offer adequate space for aerobic activities. To appeal to the client's entertaining habits, a bar, gaming area, and proper theater screen needed to be added. There were some ceiling and lolly column restraints that would play a significant role in the layout of our new design, but the Gramophone Team was able to create a space in which every detail appeared to be there from the beginning. Rustic wood columns and rafters, weathered brick, and an exposed metal support beam all add to this design effect becoming real. Maryland Photography Inc.

This home wine cellar Boston was crafted from mahogany, with a Chappo stain and clear top coat finish. It provides storage and display for 1770 bottles, including 750 ml., through the use of high reveal display rows, wood case storage, bulk bin storage and label forward horizontal displays. The wine cooling evaporator was mounted horizontally in the racks. We concealed it in a louvered grill cover to make it look like it is part of the racking. This showcase wine cellar at Nick & Sam's Restaurant, custom designed and installed by IWA in Dallas Texas, features insulated glass, display racking, and specialized HVAC equipment. The client requested a free standing wine room, and the architect provided the initial design, requesting a turnkey solution. IWA Design Center provided final designs for the enclosure, cellar refrigeration, and racking. The negative corners in the design are a unique visual element, augmenting this impressive glass wine cellar. It took two weeks from beginning of installation to clean up and final walk through. Construction materials included: - HSS hollow steel iFrame with double pane glass and black butt glazing - Ceiling uses 2x4 framing and marine grade plywood, finished with cedar T&G - Racking is Platinum Vintage View label forward wine racking with FCF frames - Refrigeration uses two CellarPro AH6500SCh with remote displays - Floor is finished with cedar T&G

This stunning glass enclosed modern custom wine cellar was designed and installed by Vintage Cellars. The Contemporary Custom Wine Room was fitted into an existing fireplace space, turning the visually unappealing sore thumb of the room into a magnificent show stopping centerpiece. This modern luxury condo on the 31st floor in a downtown San Diego high-rise acted as a very interesting project for the custom wine cellar design team at Vintage Cellars. The modern wine room space has dual paned, insulated glass but because of the nature of glass itself, the cooling unit was recommended to be oversized. The custom wine room space itself didn't have great options for venting the cooling unit due to the location on the 31st floor. The best option to vent was determined to treat the wine room as a wine cabinet, per se. The Cooling Unit, a CellarPro 1800 XTS, was placed in the ceiling, venting down cool air and circulating vented air back upward. The result works perfectly for a uniquely modern and contemporary space such as this. This fully enclosed, glass front custom wine cellar boasts a 300 bottle capacity with a sleek, modern, label forward feel that ULTRA Wine Peg racking is known for. The center section is a double stacked full reveal display row, showcasing some of the homeowner's finer wines. Though no particular space was made within the wine racking area, the design of this modern custom wine cellar was pushed back a couple of feet so that wine case storage could be an option between the glass front and the custom racking. Additionally, the clean feel goes even further upon looking for the entrance into this wine cellar. The flat panel on the furthest left side opens slowly and almost magically when pushed in slightly. A great, modern touch! A gorgeous, modern condo such as this is just begging to have a custom wine cellar. This space, with big help from this contemporary wine room, screams luxury upon entering.
