This 1000+ Bottle, glass enclosed, custom wine cellar was built in Memphis, Tennessee using custom stain and finish and Maple wine racking. This beautiful, almost mid century looking wine room utilizes a 1 ton fully ducted wine guardian cooling system. Vintage Cellars made sure to oversize this cooling unit in this particular wine storage space due to the large glass doors the client wished to incorporate into the space. What a showpiece wine room this space is! This space also had custom stonework built into which the wine racking was placed. The accentuated lighting adds that extra kick to this walk in wine cellar. A showroom display of rustic wine bar with Woodland Patina Oak Rustic Farmstead cabinets with Berenson Rhapsody weathered nickel hardware and Uba Tuba granite countertop with tuscan finish and chiseled edges. A pedestal pub table made from reclaimed barn wood and a mulit light pendant complete the room. The flooring is 8"x36" Patina Cottonwood wood plank ceramic tiles.

The space below a basement staircase often goes to waste. This state-of-the-art wine closet turned this unused space into a connoisseur’s dream. Wine is one of the few things that can improve with age. But it can also rapidly deteriorate if kept in inadequate conditions. The three factors that have the most direct impact on a wine's condition are light, humidity and temperature. Another consideration is security for expensive wines that often appreciate in value. The storage area features a cedar panel ceiling, and custom racks and shelves over a granite floor.

This homeowner had extensive collections of both high end wines and bourbon. Wine and bourbon require completely different storage solutions, so naturally, two unique and completely separate rooms were created to showcase them both. The homeowners were fantastic in meeting with our team to collaborate on a bourbon room and wine cellar design that worked within their special spaces and budget. The House itself has a rustic, yet refined and modern farmhouse feel throughout. The modern, elegant, yet vintage style look of the small wine cellar, especially, fit seamlessly with the interior design. The Bourbon cellar is not cooled, but resides in a shaded interior section within the house as to maintain a constant temperature. Additionally, with close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, sunny Ladera Ranch, a community in Orange County, California never really sees average temperatures above 80 Degrees. The Bourbon Room showcases a custom wrought iron door, and upon entering features a modular style show cabinet with multiple levels. Custom wine cellar doors, and custom wrought iron doors truly add that special feeling and look to your walk in wine room. A door used for a wine room would be fitted with dual pane glass as to better maintain temperature and humidity within. A room such as this could also double as craft beer storage. Beer storage, requires bottles to stand straight up as to not rust the cap, as well as compress any remaining yeast residues at the bottom of the bottle instead of mixed throughout. Craft beer as a whole has become an incredibly burgeoning industry, especially in places like San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Francisco in California, and Portland in Oregon. The small wine cellar / wine closet / wine room is located right off the kitchen, allowing easy access for social gatherings or just to bring out that special wine with dinner. This small walk in wine cellar incorporates a custom wrought iron door as well, fitted with glass as discussed prior. The wine room has one solid wall of individual bottle storage, leading into the showcase wall with room for case storage and more individual bottle storage above the countertop and decanting area. With the children older, it was time to formalize a Webster Groves, MO finished basement for more adult pursuits. A new set of red oak stairs leads to a cultured stone entry way into the new kitchenette and 512-bottle wine cellar. A waist-high sliding pocket door keeps balls from the refinished ping pong room from rolling into the family room, adjacent to the refinished billiards room.

Using both natural brown board and grey board we created this walk in wine cellar as a focal point within the basement. The custom glass panels and center glass door allows this space to be seen at all times while also creating its own dedicated environment. The large-scale light grey tile was installed on the floor throughout the bar area and wine cellar in order to bring a sense of connection between the two spaces.
