Spectacular Home Renovation - Mooresville, NC

A large wood storage unit built into the masonry fireplace was removed to create a smaller fireplace centered in the room. The masonry fireplace (that was originally clad in mauve colored marble) was covered with modern Realstone chiseled seashell. An architectural mantel feature was added above the fireplace. Custom built cabinetry create more storage and house the entertainment unit. To add continuity, the front bar front was clad in the same stone as the fireplace. LED strip lights where added under the bar top to highlight the stone. Durable hickory pre-finished hardwood floors were installed throughout the space. Photography by Barry Gardner
