There are so many components of this space that show functionality and glamour. We kept the bright white theme throughout this custom home and extended the shiplap and white high-end materials into the bathroom. One of our favorite pieces that really captured the look included a Victoria + Albert free standing tub. Working with Krystine Edwards on the interior design, the homeowners chose oversized lanterns over the vanities, which were purchased from a local lighting store – Carolina Lanterns. And, the Moroccan style mirrors added just the extra touch of charm. Now, let’s talk about the oversized walk-in, frameless glass shower. It is simply breathtaking. We used Bianca Carerra marble, arabesque tile and penny round tiles on the floor. With three shower heads, there’s the option to set the temperature to each person’s liking. Once the valves are set you never have to change it again; you simply turn on the water! This classic white look will stand the test of time, and the glamorous selections make it one of the most beautiful master bathrooms we’ve constructed.

Shower walls are Dekton Laurent. Countertop and shower trim is Engineered quartz Fantasy by Mont Surfaces. All plumbing fixtures and accessories are Kallista by Kohler. Glass shower door and glass partition to separate shower and toilet room. Frameless cabinetry with laminate doors. Pocket door into the toilet room.

The master bath seen here is compact in its footprint - again drawing from the local boat building traditions. Tongue and groove fir walls conceal hidden compartments and feel tailored yet simple. The hanging wall cabinet allow for a more open feeling as well. The shower is given a large amount of the floor area of the room. A curb-less configuration with two shower heads and a continuous shelf. The shower utilizes polished finishes on the walls and a sandblasted finish on the floor. Space is not determined by the enclosure but through the idea of space extending past perceived barriers into an expanded form of living indoors and out. Even in this harsh environment, one is able to enjoy this concept through the development of exterior courts which are designed to shade and protect. Reminiscent of the crevices found in our rock formations where one often finds an oasis of life in this environment. DL featured product: DL custom rugs including sculpted Patagonian sheepskin, wool / silk custom graphics and champagne silk galaxy. Master bath retreat with all the bells and whistles. This clients original master bath was cluttered and cramped. It was a large space but crowded with walls separating the area into many smaller spaces. We redesigned the bath removing walls, moving and replacing the window, and changing the configuration. Needing extra storage was another driving facture of this project. Using a custom vanity with all functional drawers, installing a full wall of linen cabinets with custom interior organizers for jewelry, shoes, etc., and installing an area of floating shelves and coat hooks added tons of great storage. A new spacious shower with double shower heads and an awesome tile design really makes a statement. This bathroom has it all.
