Our client purchased an apartment on the top floor of an old 1930’s building with expansive views of the San Francisco Bay from the palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, to Alcatraz Island. The existing apartment retained some of the original detailing and the owner wished to enhance and build on the existing traditional themes that existed there. We reconfigured the apartment to add another bedroom, relocated the kitchen, and remodeled the remaining spaces. The design included moving the kitchen to free up space to add an additional bedroom. We also did the interior design and detailing for the two existing bathrooms. The master bath was reconfigured entirely. We detailed and guided the selection of all of the fixtures, finishes and lighting design for a complete and integrated interior design of all of the spaces.

The St Cloud 2-story coastal house plan features 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and a 3 car garage spaces. Main floor comforts include a great room, dining room, island kitchen, study, private master suite with luxurious bath and a covered lanai with outdoor kitchen. Upstairs is a loft, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a covered balcony. You can easily access the 2nd floor by elevator. The one car garage is 326sf and the 2 car garage is 547sf.

Here is an photo of the bathroom long after the shower insert, heart shaped tub and aged lighting and hardware became a thing of the past, here we have a large walk in closet, new drop in porcelain sinks, a large walk-in tile shower with a frameless solid glass shower door equipped with self leveling hinges. with the leftover tile we also added a custom backsplash to the existing vanity for that little extra something. To the right is a fully customized barn-style door of my own design-Patented i might add, all tied together with wood patterned linoleum and bordered with original wood grain base moulding.
