Giusy GallèA project of interiors in the historical apartment by the Italian architect Giulio Minoletti. Our client, a very important advertising director, wanted a delicate renewal, that respected the intentions of the architect in the '50s, in particular the modularity of the space.
Blending point is the name we adopted for our project as we read in loco the really strong interaction between nature and city, the two absolute stunning views this house offers in the centre of Milan.

Deposito CreativoInfine la zona dello studio, ricavata in un vano di passaggio tra la scala e la zona notte.
Qui la grande libreria campeggia sulla parete di sbarco della scala e ci introduce in un ambiente aperto, decorato con una carta da parati neutra ma di grande impatto su cui poggia il mobile contenitivo ad uso della scrivania, volutamente molto leggera, in vetro e ferro.
Just the ThingA mural of pink peonies, scaled to fit the longest wall in the room, is strategically positioned as a Zoom backdrop. Walls match the mural’s off-black background, as if the artist had painted directly on them. Highlighting the tall windows, black painted frames add graphic interest against the cream sills. Simple cream drapery emphasizes the ceiling height while absorbing sound and adding warmth. A huge custom rug unifies the seating and working areas and further contributes to the hushed atmosphere.
In order for this room to feel more like a retreat and less like an office, we used regular furniture pieces in non-standard ways. The client’s heirloom dining table serves as a writing table. A pair of brass and glass consoles holds printer, stationery, and files as well as decorative items. A cream lacquered linen sideboard provides additional storage. A pair of cushy swivel chairs serves multiple functions – facing a loveseat and bench to create a cozy seating area, facing each other for intimate discussions, and facing the desk for more standard business meetings.
CAPAROL ICONSNO 37 KISS CATCH - Romantisches Altrosa, zart wie errötete Kinderwangen. Das unschuldige Kinderspiel war besonders in den prüden Nachkriegsjahren beliebt: Mädchen jagen Jungen hinterher, und wenn sie sie erwischen, geben sie ihnen einen Kuss. Dann sind die Jungen dran!
NO 63 ANIME - Weiches Taubenblau. Inspiriert von den fantastischen blauen Welten des japanischen Anime. Die Zeichentrickfilme wurden in den 80ern international berühmt. Die Ikonographie der Figuren zeichnet sich durch besonders große Augen aus.
NO 73 JUKEBOX - Nostalgisches Patinagrün. Heckflossen, Chrom, Glas und Pastellfarben. Die amerikanischen Jukeboxen der 50er lassen sich vom Automobil-Design ihrer Zeit inspirieren. Sie werden zu Designikonen und prägen das Bild des legendären 24-Stunden-Diners.
NO 97 FLOWER POWER - Harmonisches Sonnenblumengelb. Inspiriert von den symbolischen Sonnenblumen der Blumenkinder. „Flower-Power“ war der Slogan der gewaltfreien Antikriegsbewegung der 70er Jahre.

room2improveThis office space was open and very large but needed to be arranged for gatherings and separate work areas. The client did not want to wall it off and lose the openness. We suggested they have a room divider hung from the ceiling for a sense of space, but not the heaviness of a wall. We designed the divider and gave the client resources as to who could build it. And we helped the client select an eclectic mix of furniture that represented iconic pieces of style thought the years. We also guided the clients with lighting and art as well as floor finishes.

Duet Design GroupThis home office/library was the favorite room of the clients and ourselves. The vaulted ceilings and high walls gave us plenty of room to create the bookshelves of the client's dreams.
