Mid-Century Coastal
The layout of the kitchen was re-designed to incorporate a butlers pantry in lieu of an existing mud room. Existing floor boards were replaced with solid blackbutt flooring and beautiful natural grey marble features within the kitchen to create a calming, tactile space. Windows and bi-fold doors were introduced along the kitchen façade (previously a solid wall with single door leading to the backyard) which provide an abundance of natural light and cross ventilation throughout the living areas. A large servery with bi-fold windows and full height bi-fold doors were essential in creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection.
The addition of new fixtures featuring brushed gun metal, a natural finishes palette and the removal of a few unnecessary bulkheads bought this mid century beauty back to life in Aspendale.
