Small den off the main living space in this modern farmhouse in Mill Spring, NC. Black and white color palette with eclectic art from around the world. Heavy wooden furniture warms the room. The Family Room included a sofa, coffee table, and piano that the family wanted to keep. We wanted to ensure that this space worked with higher volumes of foot traffic, more frequent use, and of course… the occasional spills. We used an indoor/outdoor rug that is soft underfoot and brought in the beautiful coastal aquas and blues with it. A sturdy oak cabinet atop brass metal legs makes for an organized place to stash games, art supplies, and toys to keep the family room neat and tidy, while still allowing for a space to live. Even the remotes and video game controllers have their place. Behind the media stand is a feature wall, done by our contractor per our design, which turned out phenomenally! It features an exaggerated and unique diamond pattern. We love to design spaces that are just as functional, as they are beautiful.

The living room at our Crouch End apartment project, creating a chic, cosy space to relax and entertain. A soft powder blue adorns the walls in a room that is flooded with natural light. Brass clad shelves bring a considered attention to detail, with contemporary fixtures contrasted with a traditional sofa shape.

This living room now shares a shiplap wall with the dining room above. The charcoal painted fireplace surround and mantel give a WOW first impression and warms the color scheme. The picture frame was painted to match and the hardware on the window treatments compliments the design.

Artistic Home Fireplace

What was once believed to be a detached cook house was relocated to attach the original structure and most likely serve as the kitchen. Being divided up into apartments this area served as a living room for the modifications. This area now serves as the den that connects the master suite to the kitchen/dining area.

Contemporary Victorian Charm. Inspired by the client's 1938 bungalow and love of Victorian era décor, this project merged period pieces with contemporary colors and accessories, creating a cozy, inviting space - perfect for relaxing or entertaining. A beautiful inverted camel back sofa tufted in peacock blue pays homage to the old, while a sleek, glass waterfall table and zigzag multi-colored drapery panels add a sophisticated, modern flare. Round leather ottomans double as additional seating and a multi-color oriental rug ties it all together. Bright pink custom florals lend a touch whimsy to this adorable, eclectic living area.

We chose a beautiful inky blue for this London Living room to feel fresh in the daytime when the sun streams in and cozy in the evening when it would otherwise feel quite cold. The colour also complements the original fireplace tiles. We took the colour across the walls and woodwork, including the alcoves, and skirting boards, to create a perfect seamless finish. Balanced by the white floor, shutters and lampshade there is just enough light to keep it uplifting and atmospheric. The final additions were a complementary green velvet sofa, luxurious touches of gold and brass and a glass table and mirror to make the room sparkle by bouncing the light from the metallic finishes across the glass and onto the mirror
