A custom millwork piece in the living room was designed to house an entertainment center, work space, and mud room storage for this 1700 square foot loft in Tribeca. Reclaimed gray wood clads the storage and compliments the gray leather desk. Blackened Steel works with the gray material palette at the desk wall and entertainment area. An island with customization for the family dog completes the large, open kitchen. The floors were ebonized to emphasize the raw materials in the space.

A down-filled custom linen sectional sits atop a graphic rug from Stark Carpet. Custom white oak coffee table anchors the room. The artful intentionality of blended elements within the space gives rise to a sense of excitement and stillness, curiosity and ease. Commissioned by a discerning Japanese client with a love for the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, we created a uniquely elegant and functional environment that is equally inspiring when viewed from outside the room as when experienced within.

This is an elegant, finely-appointed room with aged, hand-hewn beams, dormered clerestory windows, and radiant-heated limestone floors. But the real power of the space derives less from these handsome details and more from the wide opening centered on the pool.

This is a living room, feature wall I designed/built. It is ledgestone, with a ribbon flame, gas fireplace and built-in TV cabinet door, which actually swings open to reveal an abundance of built-in storage behind. The built-in cabinets that flank it also offer additional storage and built-in speakers. The square cabinets below hold the subwoofers for the Dolby 7.1, movie theater surround sound.
