The custom wine racks designed for a Boston home consists of horizontal displays, X cubes, wooden case openings, display rows, and diamond bin storage racks. The total capacity of this home wine cellar is 1,769 bottles. The wine racks were manufactured from Malaysian Mahogany. We applied Chappo stain and clear coat lacquer for a richer look. The award-winning Jack’s Point is our new display home at the HomeQuest Village in Bella Vista. At the 2023 HIA awards, Horizon Homes won both Display Home of the Year, and Best Display Home in its category - Display Homes over $1m. When we built this home, we wanted a design that would be contemporary, but still fit comfortably in the traditional style streetscapes of the suburbs that we typically build in – the North Shore, Northern Beaches and Canada Bay areas. The natural finishes of timber, stone and metal gives this home an organic look and feel. The façade design and finishes provide the beautiful mix of material choices. Modern brickwork meshes with charred hardwood timber cladding, castellated style garage door, and a first-floor natural garden bed. Natural American Oak timber flooring leads from the entry lead to the lounge, which features an impressive yet functional wall-hung fireplace with an exposed metal flue. The staircase provides a wonderful aesthetic but also acts to create distinct spaces in an otherwise open space. It is constructed from American Oak treads, steel and glass and allows natural light through to the living areas. Large format porcelain tiles provide a seamless finish to the remaining living areas and carry through to the alfresco kitchen and dining area. The kitchen and pantry provide beautifully finished modern workspaces with the mix of marble / granite and Corian finishes. The marble fluting on the island ends elevates the benchtop from the purely practical, to an elegant design feature. As with all Horizon Homes builds, the alfresco area was important. It has been designed to enhance natural light in the home, as well as providing flexible living spaces. The upper floor comprises of four bedrooms, main bathrooms, two ensuites and a private lounge space adjacent to the master bedroom. This overlooks the rooftop garden bed. The feature panelling to all bedrooms and hallway that so caught the judges’ attention provide this home with the warm cosy feel. Like all of our custom designs, the display home was designed to maximise quality light, airflow and space for the block it was built on. 'Being recognised by the client as pioneers of the importance in understanding proper climate control" gave me a thrilling sense of delivery - Craig Ellis. Being hand selected by one of the industries true wine professionals, a 'sommelier', to deliver this double sided custom restaurant wine display was an honour. Delivered within twelve weeks, the display now calls one of London's most exquisite Japanese teppanyaki restaurants "Onodera" it's home. Angelo had a clear vision for his style of custom wine cellar display. He wanted to best store, handle and also give his wine presentations from one stylish display. The partnership synergy with Angelo's expertise in addition to passion in handling wine, allowed a smooth, harmonious design experience. The Custom Restaurant Wine Display stands at 3.5m wide by 2.5m high and has two internally built in separate climate controlled zones. It has two separate custom cooling systems built within. A cooler side of 5c for white wine and also champagne and the right side at 14c for red wine. The double glazed doors have been with fitted with rubber gaskets, a slim profile frame and completed with recessed sprayed Matt black hinges. On view from the seated dining areas of the restaurant, in the heart of Onodera. Note; the rear glazed viewing panels display the identical internal accessible bottle layouts from the back of this wine display. The shadow gap aligned panels are fully removable for servicing access and fitted with concealed fixings. The Led lighting selection incorporates waterproof 2700k spectrum warm white light spots in addition to strips. Lighting zones controlled by wireless dimmable wall mounted keypad controllers allow for simple control. This custom restaurant wine display is built in a toughened grade matt sprayed timber. It is also a perfect example of a freestanding structure that can be secured floor to ceiling. This maintains the structural integrity, without the use of a heavy gauge steel structure. Every detail in the design considers aesthetic characteristics and also daily service use of this custom restaurant wine display.

Nestled up to an equally stunning home bar is this one of a kind glass front custom wine cellar / wine room in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. This trendy wine cellar is sleek with black wine racking, matching the black coated stainless steel frames in the glass front. Poplar wood was utilized for these wine racks, only to be finished with a modern / contemporary touch of staining them completely midnight black. This wine room screams luxury with its clean lines and hybrid style utilizing metal, glass and wood in varying colors and styles. Designed , built, and installed by Vintage Cellars, this wine cellar keeps your interest with many styles of display and storage. Along the top, individual bottle storage is perfect for those longer termed holdings. Directly below showcases two tiered coved trays, perfect for putting those prized bottles front and center. Directly underneath is a high reveal display row, keeping bottles angled properly to ensure wet corks for graceful aging. One level lower yet again leaves space for original wood cases. The jet black wine racking contrasts beautifully against the sprawling natural wood flooring. Space was left inside this mid-sized wine vault / wine room / wine cellar to make room for a entertaining table - perfect for opening and decanting your favorite bottles with friends. Even with the comfortable spaciousness designed into this wine cellar, it still holds 800+ bottles easily. Vintage Cellars worked with Noe Design Co on this project. They did a fantastic job with the custom stainless steel framing, door, and glasswork.. A beautiful consistency was kept with the dark metal and wine racks. The combination of white and grey marble in the home bar / custom bar, the utilization of mirrors, subdued grey wall coverings, and sleek black furniture, metal, and wood all showcase elegance at its finest. The cooling system in this wine cellar / wine room / wine vault / wine closet / wine wall / glass wine cellar / glass wine room / glass wine vault / glass wine closet / glass wine wall / modern wine room / modern wine cellar / modern wine vault is ducted in to the ceiling to maintain a cool, calm, and quiet environment. A constant 55 degree temperature and perfect relative humidity were maintained to ensure that the homeowner will be able to age their collection for years and years to come. Featuring a classic H-shaped plan and minimalist details, the Winston was designed with the modern family in mind. This home carefully balances a sleek and uniform façade with more contemporary elements. This balance is noticed best when looking at the home on axis with the front or rear doors. Simple lap siding serve as a backdrop to the careful arrangement of windows and outdoor spaces. Stepping through a pair of natural wood entry doors gives way to sweeping vistas through the living and dining rooms. Anchoring the left side of the main level, and on axis with the living room, is a large white kitchen island and tiled range surround. To the right, and behind the living rooms sleek fireplace, is a vertical corridor that grants access to the upper level bedrooms, main level master suite, and lower level spaces. Serving as backdrop to this vertical corridor is a floor to ceiling glass display room for a sizeable wine collection. Set three steps down from the living room and through an articulating glass wall, the screened porch is enclosed by a retractable screen system that allows the room to be heated during cold nights. In all rooms, preferential treatment is given to maximize exposure to the rear yard, making this a perfect lakefront home.

The wine niche in the dining room, made custom by Ridgecrest Designs, is surrounded by a raw iron frame. The niche, clad with reclaimed wood, stores up to 54 bottles on the wall-mounted racks.
