Thanks to the addition of Suite Outdoors products, the space was designed to accommodate three-season comfort, and hosts over-sized motorized screens on all openings of the kitchen for ultimate function, comfort, and unobstructed views. We are thrilled to share that this project was Winner of the 2018 BILD Alberta award for “Renovator’s Choice”, and featured in Best Home Magazine. “I could not have asked for more from a company -- the salesman explained everything about an awning -- and made some great suggestions (and they weren't necessary the most expensive ones!) The installers came right on time -- finished the work quickly and cleaned up after themselves. I have had my awning for about 8 months now and it is amazing how much cooler it keeps my deck and my home. They are the real deal!”

“Our outdoor life has improved immeasurably since we had KAYU install a backyard "room" in our mid-1960's vintage property in Calgary. Our outdoor space has gone from a simple concrete pad to a multi-level 'red meranti' deck, complete with sunken hot-tub enclosure surrounded by glass, curved stairway, a large dining area, and a boardwalk to the garage. A visit to our backyard immerses one in a tranquil, natural setting which totally complements our native woodland garden. KAYU's wood is worry-free needing only a once-a-year hosing and oiling to restore its lustre year after year. The staff at KAYU is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, always with a coffee ready for the customer. This business is one of Calgary's gems.”

“The Deck Store/Town and Country Construction demolished our old deck and built us a new multilevel Azek deck, complete with custom pergola, decorative floor patterns and LED lighting. Town and Country is the construction extension of The Deck Store located in Edmonton. Right from the beginning they assisted us in planning and design and it was a pleasure to walk through their very large (apparently the largest in North America) showroom to compare materials and discuss ideas and solutions to our project. They were professional, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and even enthusiastic. Their communication process was effective, the contract easy to read and thorough, their prices competitive and their payment schedule easy to swallow. Once construction started on the deck, it was apparent their team is extremely experienced, easily navigating any "surprises" and working together "as a well oiled machine". Ryan, our foreman, and Matt, our lead carpenter were amazing. In addition, all staff were professional, friendly and beyond competent at their jobs. Matt is truly skilled at wood work. His cuts and measurements are immaculate, his finishing and attention to detail outstanding. Ryan was easy to talk to, responsive, practical and knowledgeable. We found them easy to work with, their finished product outstanding and would highly recommend them.”

“Hi, Just wanted to give Mark a review. I had him make me a Pergola for over my hot tub and a enclosure for my metres in the back of my yard. He was a very well mannerd and listens well to my requests. He helped me understand the design and emailed me pictures on Pergolas so I could choose the one I wanted. He was spot on with the time frame that he said it would take, I found that his workmanship is of higher standard and I am very happy with it. Mark gave me a fair price I think and isn't one to charge more for what he is doing. He just gives you the fair price for the job that is comparable in his industry. I am glad I found him and would hire him again for more projects in the future. All the best to you Mark! Clarissa”

“By hiring Ralph Zamoyski, we received the complete package: not only is Ralph an experienced and excellent contractor who can demolish, dry wall, set tiles, paint, etc., he is also a designer with a keen eye for colour and style. His years of experience on numerous projects made him anticipate, avoid and solve possible problems. Besides his own considerable skills, he can plan and arrange his talented electrical and plumbing long-time associates to help complete other technical tasks. Because of his experience and artistic sense, Ralph was able to help us wisely narrow down the overwhelming amount of choices while always leaving the ultimate decisions about colours, materials and fixtures up to us. The final result was a complete transformation of our two dated, small bathrooms into modern, stylish and elegant places that we can be proud of. Consequently, we readily hired Ralph to rebuild our backyard fence and to build us new gates with excellent end results. Then, this last February, we had Ralph remove our master bedroom's dated wallpaper, prepare the walls and paint them with a great colour that he helped us pick. It was yet another transformation of a dated room that he helped us create! And this spring we are gladly hiring Ralph to expand and rebuild our backyard deck with new low maintenance materials. “Stan and I have worked together on a few projects over the last 20 years. I have always known him to be exceptional in his design and detailed workmanship. He has developed a wonderful flare for turning a mundane home plan into a home worth showing to your friends. Check-out his photo gallery and you will know what I mean. “Assiniboine helped us finish our backyard last summer and we were extremely pleased with their service and workmanship. They showed up when they told me they would, they worked hard on our project everyday till it was complete, and at the end walked through the whole project with me to make sure I was happy with everything! In the end I feel I paid a fair price for an exceptional landscape and experience! I'm looking forward to Assiniboine coming back this summer to finish my front yard!”
