Working with Vikki and Sarah from VMD interiors was undoubtedly the most rewarding part of our kitchen renovation journey. Not only did they work incredibly hard to accommodate our tight deadlines, the process itself was very straightforward, collaborative and creative. Every single detail was customised, carefully curated and adjusted to suit the needs of our family. Our kitchen is relatively large, so it was separated into different zones suited for different activities without losing the overall cohesive flow of the space. VMD team put together the most detailed plans that were a breeze to use for us as owners, and our trades alike. So many things that I would never even think of were considered based on years of industry experience and put into planning to avoid any unpleasant surprises during the construction process. Most importantly, our budget needs exceeded expectations, and we comfortably achieved all our design outcomes within our budget. I look forward to seeing the final outcome and working with VMD team in the future.

Vikki and her team took the time to really understand our house, our needs and our budget and brought together an interior makeover that truly transfomed our home, yet kept it true to its vintage. They expertly project managed a team of tradespeople and, despite interruptions from covid lockdowns, finished the project within the timeframe promised. We now have a more liveable home with great storage and a stunning colour palette - ideas and colours we could never have imagined ourselves. We worked with Vikki and her team on the re-design of our property in Blairgowrie. We cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism and design nous. Vikki was involved in all aspects of the design, from kitchen and bathroom layout and plans to colour choices, furniture, art work and decor. Vikki is approachable and down to earth. She listened to our thoughts and came up with considered solutions at all stages of the project. She was wonderful as a ‘sounding board’ as we went through the various iterations of the design. The choice of materials, colours, accessories, furnishing etc, can be daunting on any renovation, but Vikki helped simplify the process. After listening to our thoughts she came up with three or four design solutions for each area, helping us to narrow down the choices and then working with us to finalise the design. Vikki provided detailed plans for the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry, that we were able to provide to contractors. Indeed, our main builder commented that Vikki’s plans for our kitchen were the ‘most comprehensive and thoughtful’ that he had seen. The quality of furnishings and accessories provided by VMD was first class, and all at reasonable prices. We love our ‘new’ house and a large part of the success of the project was down to Vikki and the team at VMD. If there was a 6 star rating we would have given that! Highly recommended.

Vikki worked closely with us and our builder over a period of two years to thoroughly renovate and refurbish our home. Her attention to detail is quite extraordinary - ensuring that every detail and measurement was taken into account. Our renovation involved a period home and an interior centred around a number of treasured French antiques - all of which Vikki worked with with ease - one of those rare designers who really listens to her client and is flexible as ideas develop - able to pretty much source anything and ensure it is ready on time. It really felt like true collaboration. On a personal level nothing was too much trouble and Vikki was really responsive and immediately available if any urgent issues arose. A real pleasure to deal with - along with her team who were equally responsive. I would not hesitate to recommend VMD Interiors - we are thrilled with the results.

Extremely good, listened to what we wanted, gave us advice and ideas but also allowed us to choose our own products if we wanted to. Combined antique furniture and new, assisted with layout of furniture, colours, accessories, artwork and new pieces of furniture.

I found Vikki after reviewing many interior designers on Houzz. I cannot speak highly enough of Vikki’s ability to create beautiful solutions on a realistic budget. In short, she has been my “interior designer & house therapist”. Throughout my renovation which took nearly 12 months, Vikki was extremely generous with her time and advice and did a lot of the hand holding while I was busily doing the hand-wringing on the layout, paint colours (both interior and exterior), furnishings and placement of furniture. She is an excellent listener and has the ability to visualize the end result which saved me time and money. I couldn’t have achieved the outcome I wanted without Vikki’s talented and practical approach. Above all, I appreciate her wonderful support and kindness throughout the whole journey.

Vikki and her team were a fantastic resource as we decorated our beach-side house. Vikki is patient and extremely talented, and her ideas brought such a fresh look to this refurbishment. Guidance and significant input on design aspects of our renovation of both an existing part of the house and prefab extension. Advice and guidance on paint and surface colour, accessories, products, flooring, window furnishings and more all assisted us greatly in making this new/old house an amazing home. Vikki's professional assistance in working with our architect was also very valuable to us. I have used Vikki of VM Design a number of times for various different elements in my home. Vikki gave me advice on paint colours which was absolutely spot-on. It changed the whole feel of the house. The furniture she sourced for me was perfect. She also designed a wall of different artworks for me which looks amazing and is commented on by everyone that visits our home. Vikki was able to look at our home and offer suggestions that I had never considered before. I found her advice invaluable. I found VMDesign through Houzz and after an initial consultation with Vikki, I knew I was on the right track. Vikki understood what I was trying to achieve in creating a new useable space from a large open plan area in our home that was rarely used. Vikki's expertise took my very sketchy idea and turned it into something far better than I could have hoped. We now have two gorgeous rooms enveloped by classic French bifold doors that have also create a stunning entrance and hallway. My only wish is that I had done it years ago.

Vikki was a great source of ideas with colour coordination to match. She helped us choose furniture including some beautiful chairs, great window coverings and paint colours to making the family room a wonderful place to be. Vikki was recommended by our builder and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her. She takes the time to find out our family needs, and comes up with ideas and designs that are both beautiful and practical. Vikki designed our kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and the master bedroom WIR. She was also in charge of colour selection. Since the renovation finished, I also engaged her to furnish the living and dining rooms. She is always professional, responsive to my questions and respectful of our ideas.

Vikki and VMDesign worked with me on completing window blinds and curtains in a three bedroom home following a renovation. VMDesign listened to what I wanted, and thoroughly checked and double checked fabric choices,and blind/curtain styles with me. VMDesign brings in their own measurer and fitter, and uses suppliers well known to them, which means you know it will work, and that they know the property. Vikki was present at all stages of the project, which gave me confidence, as the client, that the job would go smoothly. Curtains and blinds installed - and loving it.

We moved into a brand new townhouse and almost none of our furniture suited or fitted the space. We also did not have the time to be too involved in detailed decisions. We gave VMDesign some idea of our taste, our budget and a free reign and are delighted with the outcome. We were always kept up to date with the progress of the project. Vikki has a great ability to understand your needs but also to gently move you in a direction you may not have considered with fantastic results. Overall we were very happy with the service received as well as the fact that we stayed within our budget.

We downsized 2 & half years ago to an early 70"s apartment.We asked VM Designs Vikki if she would take on the job of Project Manager/Interior Design. This was on recommendation from friends who had previoulsy worked with Vikki. We had the whole apartment stripped to bare nothing and VM Designs took to task to transform the place - with great results,all work carried out was done smoothly and Vikki was a pleasure to work with. She made life so much easy for us,not only carrying out all the building work,but carefully choosing colours designs etc. and the end results were great. It has been a pleasure working with Vikki of VM Design on the interior of our new home. We engaged Vikki to provide concept designs for our new kitchen as the design architect for our home was unable to provide a design that met our individual needs and requirements. We were stuck in a house we didn't like and were thinking about downsizing. But the location (North Melbourne) made us think twice. We approached Vikki for advice on what could be done with our double storey town house that we had lived in for 15+ years. We quickly realised that she was a very talented designer with excellent contacts, but most important we knew we would be able to work with her. Vikki reconfigured the downstairs internal rooms to give us an additional study/bedroom, downstairs shower and bathroom and added a deck to the rear of the family room for outdoor entertaining. She transformed a 1980's looking house into something that today we are thrilled with. Vikki's technical knowledge was invaluable throughout the project. She redesigned our hallway replacing west facing windows with ones that were smaller and 300% more energy efficient. She was as comfortable drawing up specs for a builder as she was choosing furniture and drapes. In any renovation there are many ups and downs, but Vikki was unfailingly patient, using good grace and humour when dealing with us and the many other suppliers involved. It was a huge project - but one that has transformed the physical layout and appearance of our house and made it somewhere we truly enjoy living in. We can't thank her enough and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone contemplating a similar exercise.

We initially engaged VMDesign to provide professional advice on colours but quickly found that Vicki's experience extended far beyond this. Subsequently,we extended her scope of works to include the entire fixtures and fittings schedule for the project. This included the redesigning of all internal space, joinery, windows, finishings and loose furniture. Vicki always listened to what we had to say and was able to steer us in the right direction so that our vision was not only realised but looked great as well. An added bonus along the way was the money saved through Vicki's wholesale contacts. The professionalism Vicki displayed throughout the entire process was extremely impressive and made the entire project enjoyable.

Working with Vikki from VMDesign was an absolute pleasure. Her ability to interpret not only my requirements but also my style and likes, resulted in a design that looked amazing and exceeded my imagination. My experience using the services of VM Design was quite life changing. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to experience what Vikki could provide.
