Sonja Robar - Abstract Artist

I moved house a few months ago and was on the lookout for a statement piece of art for my kitchen/living area. I came across Sonja Robar on Instagram and checked out her website and immediately fell in love with her work. I chose "Suddenly" as I loved the colour scheme in this piece. From our very first conversation, Sonja was always friendly and an absolute professional. She was extremely helpful with helping me choose the right design and size for my wall space and was also able to commission something that fit into my budget. My new home is filled with quite a generous amount of light and learning that her artwork is non-reflective and UV protected was a bonus. Sonja kept me constantly updated throughout the whole process and it was a pleasure dealing with her. I would definitely love to commission another piece from her in the future.

Sonja's attention to détail and personalized service was much appreciated. We commissioned a unique piece for our Gold Coast home via email based on work we saw on her website and are very happy with the beautiful work gracing our entry wall. I've long admired Sonja's works and getting a commissioned artwork was easy for me and a really quick process. I sent Sonja various pictures of my space and chose a few designs off her website which I thought would look great in my home. Sonja scaled her designs to fit my space and her advice on sizes and colours brought me to a definite conclusion as to which artwork I would select. The turnaround time was very quick for a custom made work. Sonja's artwork is perfect for my home and much more beautiful in real life. The colours are vibrant and the non-reflective surface of the work always looks fantastic in the brightest sunlight. Sonja has just hung a fabulous large piece of art in our bedroom. Redecorating our bedroom was a fun process. The hard part was finding a work of art to hang over the fireplace. I came upon Sonja Robar and her art at an artists' market and loved the uniqueness of her pieces. I wanted one but I wasn't sure which as I was overwhelmed by the choices that I loved. And so an artistic design collaboration started between Sonja, Chris and me. Sonia's artistic eye for design, scale and colour helped us. She presented us with a selection of pieces that as a designer she felt would complement our room and our tastes. What a hard decision to choose just one. After a visit to view her collection we decided on Barwon Heads and on aluminium. Sonja custom sized it for our bedroom. Wow, our unique one of a kind piece. It is so unusual and the sheen from the aluminium gives it a lightness when looking from the side. It is a photo and a moody ever changing piece of art that reflects the light of the day.
