David provided design and drawing services up to construction documents. He worked very well with my wife and I, taking our ideas and getting them down visually. Working with our framer they figured out complex roof lines and weight loads to fulfill the inspector requirements. Pleasure to work with.

David designed a breakfast room addition off our kitchen for our Montclair NJ home a few years ago. It remains one of our favorite rooms of the house - beautifully designed, useful and a good match esthetically for our 1920s Tudor style home. It always gets lots of compliments from visitors. David was a delight to work with, incorporating our wishes but offering practical advice and a variety of design options. My only regret was not incorporating a couple more of his suggestions. He was also a good advisor to our contractor. I've seen some of his other work in the area and would not hesitate to recommend him for any job large or small. Aside from his skill as an architect, he is incredibly nice and remains a friend.

David Varnish of DV Architects did structural and design work on a complete renovation of a circa 1930 lake front cabin in northern Connecticut. The structure needed extensive reinforcement as well as the removal of several existing walls and ceiling. A new kitchen was installed and the bathroom was relocated. All interior surfaces were redone. The functionality of the cabin was optimized and better integrated into the site. David helped manage costs and was very helpful during construction, offering solutions to problems as they presented themselves. He was a consummate professional and a gracious presence throughout the process.

David and his architectural firm did a wonderful job designing a new kitchen, pantry and dining area in our CT home. The work they did was exactly what we didn't know we wanted. We pulled many pictures from magazines and David reviewed with his team to design a footprint we LOVED and a kitchen that was beyond what we expected. His team assisted in the selection of materials when I needed it - and the results were perfect.
