Carmen Parker Styling

Carmen has been helping me with my very first house renovation which has included a new kitchen, new flooring, choosing paint colours and carpet. Where I live there isn't a stylist with her skills and knowledge which is why I decided to use her e-Design services. And I am so glad I did! I seriously could not have done this renovation without her. First up, Carmen's knowledge of colour is exceptional! From the colour of our timber floors, the tiles of our splashback, the wall paint, to the cushions on our new lounge, Carmen has helped us tie it all in beautifully. Secondly, the amount of decisions you have to make in a renovation can be overwhelming, but Carmen was so reassuring throughout the whole process and helped me to quickly narrow down my choices based on colour, texture, proportions and practicality versus looks. I would highly recommend Carmen as a colour consultant and stylist, we are extremely happy with the results. I will definitely be using her again when we renovate our bathroom and laundry next year.

Carmen is fabulous and has helped me transform my house room by room with suggestions on colour, texture and design - helping to bring the transformation I so desperately couldn't achieve on my own. Her unique talent is being able to achieve that balance of both great style and function (as a family home with two small children, that still needs to be 'liveable'!). She is collaborative and easy/great to work with and I would highly recommend her services to anyone needing help with interior design.

We purchased a house in St Ives, Sydney in original 1960's condition and we decided to strip off the existing (highly patterned) walls and flooring before we moved in. I immediately sent some pics to Carmen, along with some Pintrest and Houzz images of the kind of styles I like. Using these and her own immaculate taste, Carmen recommended a couple of colour schemes to think about. Once we had access to the property, Carmen came for a walk-through with paint charts and we planned the room colours including ceilings, trim, doors, window-frames, feature walls. She also helped advise on carpet and floor stain as well as external colours for the front door, porch and facia. We were simultaneously designing our kitchen and Carmen was able to visualise with us and make sure everything tied together. Within a week the painters were on site with clear instructions and the place was transformed into a gorgeous, warm yet fresh Australian family home. Carmen has an amazing knack for choosing just the right tone, shade and colour for a space. Her process is organised and efficient and she makes everyone feel very comfortable. Carmen knows how to engage all parties and work together for a great result. I highly recommend Carmen and will certainly use her services again when we get around to renovating our bathrooms!

Carmen is the 'styling sage' I was looking for. I have been gradually updating my 2 bedroom apartment but had reached a point of too many ideas and no direction. My bedroom was up to its 3rd paint colour in 18 months! Carmen listened, took the time to understand my style and then came back with great ideas. Ideas that were just for me. Her knowledge of colour, choosing that 'perfect piece' which makes a space your own, and her understanding of her clients' lifestyle are, in my view, faultless. I will most definitely using Carmen's services in the near future.

We employed Carmen to help us decide what colours to paint the outside of our 1920s Californian Bungalow, and, boy, was she helpful! Carmen helped us come to a decision that made us both happy, was within our budget, and put us in touch with terrific tradespeople. Without Carmen Parker's styling, I don't think we would have got the result we wanted. I'd not only use her again, but encourage anyone else who has to make a design decision on their home to speak to her first.

We had Carmen help us with furnishing and decorating our new home. We effectively started with a blank canvas and she was invaluable with helping us understand what we wanted to achieve for each of our bedrooms and living areas. Her services ranged from developing a style / colour palette for each area, sourcing fabrics and materials, selecting designs for various rugs, making recommendations for hard furnishings and other decorative pieces. Carmen provided us with useful advice with co-ordinating colours between rooms and to ensure the décor matched the style of the house. Her advice was tailored to our tastes and considered the practicalities of everyday life e.g. wear and tear of materials, ease of cleaning where kids play, etc. Carmen was highly professional and remained on top of the project. Throughout the project, she was timely with responding to our questions, kept us informed of our progress and provided us with choices based on our budget and briefing. We were very happy with the end result and would highly recommend her to anyone considering a major interior decorating project.

We have just completed the painting of our home and we couldn't be happier. Carmen was very receptive to our ideas while imparting her own knowledge and colour skills to create something that represented style as well as reflecting our own individual personalities. We would highly recommend Carmen. She is professional, flexible and reasonably priced. While we were slightly anxious about the end result initially, we are so happy with how the house looks and feels, it is like a brand new place. Thanks Carmen, it was money well spent and we just love our green door and green bathroom!
